    Yanno what I noticed? We get alot of inconsiderate, anti social, unrealistic people out here now a days. Seems like some people go places just to try and start stuff about people and the type of music they like. Me? Im an all around person and Fergie fits in my All around. Rap, techno, rock, hip hop, R&B, Jazz, and fade - I love it all. Fergie - Im going to give you a 10 just because you Yanno what I noticed?     The mixed reviews show how controversial Fergie's music and image are, which is part of its appeal. Exceptionally unique album. Fergie is too edgy to be written off as a mere pop princess.

    This album is pop, is rock, is reggae, is RnB, is TALENT. Fergie managed to show everybody that she isn't just the "female one" of The Black Eye Pease. She's an artist. A wonderful album. Beautiful lyrics and really really good music. A little masterpiece.

    The album has a lot of different sound, like R&B, hip hop, rock, soul, electro pop and gives Fergie a new image. It express what she wants, and makes a funny and light album to listen. In my opinion, one of the best albums of the last decade.

    Why all the hate? The Dutchess is an amazing album and Fergie is a better solo singer than in a group singing. A large range of beats and vocals, and exceptional guests like Ludacris.

    Bem mediano, faixas típicas ao da época, o que não tira seu valor, desnecessárias faixas Finally e Velvet. as melhores Big Girls Don't Cry, Clumsy e London Bridge.

A super album well produced and great in the choice of singles, Fergie will certainly bring us a successor by hearing the addictive track 'LA Love' released in 2014 reminds me of the single 'Glamorous'.     Terrific album with songs ranging from hip-hop gems ("Glamorous", "London Bridge") to gorgeous ballads ("Finally"). 10/10 for the Ferg.

    I hate Black Eyed Peas, but this album ain't half bad. It's derivative, but more artists today should be channeling the fun and sexy rap and pop groups of the past (JJ Fad, Mary Jane Girls) than doing whatever the hell it is Beyonce thinks she's doing.

    The Dutchess is really not as bad as some of the critics say. Here is the low-down. Fergalicious(9/10 Fun to dance to and fun lyrics.)     1st off - if a review is to be posted, spell correctly. It diminishes credibility when the spelling is on the 1st grade level. Secondly, as far as POP albums go, I thought this album easily met all the necessary criteria to be justified as a very entertaining album and is worthy of an 8 at the very least.

    Wow. Maybe some of these other "reviewers" were expecting more than they should've. It's just Ferg, people, the girl from Kids, Inc. and Wild Orchid. The diversity is a help, not a hindrance. Her lack of identity actually works for an iPod generation accustomed to variety.

    Love it. All songs could be heard on the radio. Clumsy is the best track and she shows off her phenomenal voice on the stunning piano ballad Finally.

    I don't necesarily believe it's worthy of a ten, but I'm sure that half the people who rated this never listened to it and they're just trying to be all non-conformist. It's really more like a 7.5.

    This album shows she has her own style as well as the persona she's taken on since becoming a member of BEP. The CD has a style for everyone. Some of the songs won't make the radio or even be a hit but at least she can carry a tune and know what her fans expect of her. I think more artists should show diversity in their music selections.     I quite liked it actually...it's refreshing to hear an album where the songs sound different to each other and not like the whiny boring pretentious rubbish I usually have to listen to - whilst repeatedly being told that it's 'meaningful'. Fergie's album is fluffy and throwaway and I love it!!! You can dance to it too...

    The cd actually shows great breadth and is a definite departure from the usual. This cd oozes of unused potential, and is actually better than "The Sweet Escape" by Gwen Stefani.

    This is a great album her vocals are pretty good, better than others. Some of her songs are very rythmic and catchy right away. Others are slow bringing Oldies back a little bit. The meaning of the songs gives the album a 10, without these I would have given an 8 or 9.

    Altought this album is not perfect, it has really great and catchy songs on it. There is only 4 tracks that are not really good. But all the rest is great and well-produced. For a first solo album, it's really cool.

    I thought this album was awesome, especially for a first. It shows the varied range of Fergie and the different styles of which she is capable.

    Very, very, very, very cool! This album grows on you, making you love it even more! Her single stand out and make you want to sing along. Face it - there is nobody like Fergie! You go girl!

Her huge singing talent and amazingly versatile look show her to be a true Madonna; just in the booklet we are shown around 6 (from memory) different styles of Fergie. She pulls this album off with its many different genres, withoutThis album definitely has its fair share of great songs; to name but a few, Mary Jane Shoes, Clumsy and Glamorous, along with the Rock-Chick sound of Wake Up. Her huge singing talent and amazingly versatile look show her to be a true Madonna; just in the booklet we are shown around 6 (from memory) different styles of Fergie. She pulls this album off with its many different genres, without seeming too much like a "Wannabe". Well worth a listen; especially if you're a Black Eyed Peas fan.

    Fergie's Debut is fierce. When "London Bridge" came out I was so excited to hear Fergie on her own. The album has some fabulous songs but some songs lack the Fergie we Are used to. Key Tracks: "London BRidge" Glamorous" "All That I Got"

We can see a little of Madonna and a little of Mariah in this CD - two thing completely different coming together: who will imagine that someone who sings a foolish My Humps can sing the multi-platinum Big Girls Don't Cry?

    I really don't understand why people and critics didn't enjoyed this LP. In Fergie's debut album, we just hear anthem's like "Big Girls Don't Cry", "London Bridge" and "Fergalicious", and that's the most important reason why this album is so relevant: THIS IS ICONIC.

    This album show Fergie as we are used to know, but it goes further, showing a unexpected one. As a pop album i can say that the lyrics are on level, catchy, not tooo much immature, and sometimes funny in a good way. Its not very cohesive that much, but its adventorous, as the result is an very decent album.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This is such a good album to my mind. There are fast-flow and energy hip-hop, lyrical songs just for soul and some notes of my favorite R&B. It’s many-side work for everyone with both strong and velvet Fergie’s voice. I sure she spent so much time, trying to give suitable intonation to make you feel amazing emotions, like this little “laugh” in Finally or short vocalizing through the album make it. Also I really felt in love with violins, bit and guitar, so when I hear any songs of album, I wanna sing despite the fact, that my voice is gibberish.… Expand

    Very interesting album, full of memories, it has something “special”, her voice goes perfect with the songs, and she knew how to create a personal, not boring album, very different to other female r&b/pop/rock/soul albums.

    The problem is the Duchess herself. Fergie exudes earthy charm, but can't keep up with the breakneck music. She forces emotion on the slower show-stoppers, and she's all cartoon kitten on the come-ons. [17 Sep 2006]
