It's an immediate, obvious highlight of Wasner's career, and of the year. [No. 136, p.57]

As Flock Of Dimes, Wasner refuses to waste a second. Most tracks are pop hits waiting to happen in some daring universe, with verses as charming as the shimmering choruses, each a perfectly formed little jewel, Wasner's voice lush and warm.

The underlying sense given off by the LP's inventive chord changes, soaring melodies, eloquent language and silky vocals--notably on the rhapsodic "Semaphore" and "Flight"--is that of a 21st century Joni Mitchell. [Oct 2016, p.31]

It's a refined work of indie-pop beauty ready for road trips or daily life, provided listeners are hopeful and curious enough to appreciate it. [Aug-Sep 2016, p.72]

This is an album that’s been made with care and intelligence. The results are compelling.

If You See Me may lack some of the tension and menace of Wye Oak’s best records, but that’s a fair tradeoff for an album this personable and at peace with itself.

"If You See Me, Say Yes" is as experimental as it is accessible, and reflects the type of intelligence and attention to detail that we've come to expect from Jenn Wasner over the last few years. What a treat this is to listen to. Full Review »
