This record is all over the place and yet somehow, that's not to its detriment. "If You See Me, Say Yes" is as experimental as it is accessible, and reflects the type of intelligence and attention to detail that we've come to expect from Jenn Wasner over the last few years. What a treat this is to listen to.

This is the most under-appreciated album of 2016. I'm in awe of the melodies here. This album oozes heart, intelligence, and depth. Let it grow on you, give it a few listens. Start with songs 4 and 5. You'll be so glad you did. Hands down my favorite record of the year. I love her work in Wye Oak too.

It's an immediate, obvious highlight of Wasner's career, and of the year. [No. 136, p.57]

As Flock Of Dimes, Wasner refuses to waste a second. Most tracks are pop hits waiting to happen in some daring universe, with verses as charming as the shimmering choruses, each a perfectly formed little jewel, Wasner's voice lush and warm.

If You See Me may lack some of the tension and menace of Wye Oak’s best records, but that’s a fair tradeoff for an album this personable and at peace with itself.
