    umm... i do enjoyed this body of work. its teen, its fresh. something about the rock or her attitude that gave this record amazing ( shout out to hope ur ok, that song makes me cry). but in some parts of some songs i kinda miss something, some vocals or u know. but overall thats is a real jam. really like it.

    Muito bom!! Esse álbum mostra tudo oque ela passou no seu antigo relacionamento, suas dores, mágoas e ressentimentos pelo seu ex-namorado. E também se relaciona muito bem com o público alvo dela (adolescente), e esses é um dos motivos que fez o álbum ser um grande sucesso.

    Dare I say Olivia had the best debut album of the last 5 years? I do. Olivia had a very strong record that was very emotionally charged. The record was pretty short but I will say that I think it was nice having a no skip record versus a 17 song album that you skip half songs. The songwriting was fantastic and obviously, there's room to grow, but this is a very strong album. HighlightsDare I say Olivia had the best debut album of the last 5 years? I do.     Es un buen álbum, realmente cada canción tiene una gran conexión con migo como con el público porque literalmente es claro que el album es dirigido mas que nada a adolescentes que pasan por una roptur, incluso podria decir que es eo mejor album del 2021, simplemente un gran debut.

    It is a very good album with good lyrics and fresh sounds. It has many influences from other albums which makes it very special and at the same time as if we had already heard it. I did not like that so many sounds worked, in songs like good for u and deja vu they are very loaded with instruments while the other songs on the album have only guitar and piano in mind.

    I consider this album to be "good". Nothing more and nothing less. Its not trying to be anything its not. The record is very openly emotional and simply, but effectively, written. The only problem this project faces at some points, is being too obvious. There are no big surprises (except brutal, one of the best songs imo).     The album is very cohesive, with "brutal" as a perfect opener and "hope ur ok" as an amazing closer and one of my fav tracks, "traitor" and "enough for you" must be the best songs on the album, the tracklisting is perfect and songs are so versatile, very impressive for a debut album

Olivia is a talented artist and she is miles ahead of where her main influences ( Lorde and Taylor Swift ) were when they were her age or when they debuted. Daniel Nigro also proves to me an immaculate and versatile producer who brings Olivia's vision out in the best way possible. The album is an amalgamation of various sounds including punk-rock, pop-rock, indie-pop and ballads. She emphasizes the same theme of heartbreak and sadness in most of the songs but at the same time she does it skillfully and all while exploring various sounds. Most of the songs have a very somber tone and they display raw emotion and teenage distress. Not to mention her impressive vocal ability which she shows off on the more acoustic songs like enough for you and traitor. The only negative thing i could say is she relies too much on the same narrative about this break up and its not really a multi-dimensional break up; she was madly in love, he broke up with her, he moved on very quickly. This is the same narrative in drivers license, traitor, good 4 u, traitor, happier , deja vu and most of the other songs. It could get boring. Luckily, it doesn't because she keeps things very short and sweet. At just 35 minutes, the album is the right length and it does what it needs to do. It shows Olivia has a lot of talent and she is just getting started.… Expand

    it's not a bad album but the theme of the girl who got dumped is kinda boring and repetitive. the production is ok and the lyrics are very cringe. for a debut album, I expected to see the type of artist olivia is but the only thing i can see is she sounding as her favourite artists, like taylor, lorde.

She did a great job of blending a more pop/indie "aesthetic" sound with the pop/rock sound that was very strong a few decades ago, without losing cohesion.     Such a good album. A lot of the songs transported me back to being a kid with a lot of older sounds used. Her vocals are amazing and the lyricism shows that she has a creativity to her artistry.

    I really love this album. Drivers License slapped hard. I'm not a teenager but I can relate to what she wanted to say in this album. Not only talk about heartbreak and breakup, this album tells us about how to deal with insecurity, self-esteem, friendship, etc. A very good and solid album from a young artist. With SOUR, Olivia gives us the promising future for her career and discography.

    It’s boring (lyrics and sound) and so monotonous. People say she is introducing rock/punk to the younger generation on this album but it isn’t close. The only songs I think are ok: good 4 u, brutal, jj and traitor.

    The versatility of Rodrigo in 'SOUR' is surprising, the record explores a lot of different genres, pop-rock, pop, alternative, folk and combines an astonishing songwriting with an amazing production, making 'SOUR' an impressive debut that proves and advances Rodrigo's tremendous talent.

    Not bad but not crazy about it. Lots of bangers plus great lyricism, album is kind of blend of teenage angst and sorrow. I can see that she got inspired by several artists (Tay), but I think she should built her own persona (if she wants to succeed later with her second album).

    For a debut album it is very fabulous, it has different sounds and is rich in lyric, it shows Rodrigo's great ability to compose, his composition recalls the country days of Taylor Swfit, to be a teenage artist it is a great debut.

    This is by far one of the best debuts EVER. She is an amazing writer. And to the people saying "it's all the same subject" maybe it'd because she wrote this last year?? On her own?? She was not planning to release it all but just released drivers license just for the fun of it. She did not expect the reception it got so she just kept making the other songs that she had already made

I knew back in January that there was something special when Olivia came out with her drivers license single and 4 months later, we are being hit with quite possibly one of the best and most unique pop albums of the year so far. It's got an excellent blend of different styles, including everything from calm cuts like "drivers license" to more up-tempo and in-your-face tracks like "good 4 u" and even the opener is quite loud and bombastic. With SOUR, Olivia has definitely shown that new talent is not dead but is in fact living very well and continuing to push the boundaries of what music should be. In my opinion, there are no skips on this album and each track reinforces the next.… Expand

    Probably one of the best debut albums ever. It's so strong and cohesive, rare for a new artist. The expectations were high after the success of driver's license, and Olivia did not disappoint!

    This album is so versatile. The songwriting and lyrics from Olivia Rodrigo and Dan Nigro are deep, vulnerable and powerful. Rodrigo’s voice is beautiful and emotional, and overall the album made me feel so much. I would most definitely recommend this album to everyone!!

It gives us feelings that we can't even relate properly - because we've never experienced particular and singular things that she has -, but we truly feel whatever she's singing by the way she sings it. The themes range from loving disillusionment to the sorrows of aging without prospects or thinking you've wasted time and were masterfully addressed by the "good 4 u" singer in this record. Olivia Rodrigo has shown part of her huge potential in "Sour" and we're looking forward to her next steps in the music industry.… Expand

They're the only 2 tracks where I've experienced the same situations so the lyrics hit so hard. My favorite lines have to be "All I see is what I should be; happier, prettier, jealousy, jealousy" and "Cause who am I, if not exploited?
    And I'm so sick of 17

    It deserves more than this, honestly. I'm sold. A **** masterpiece ripped out of liv's heart. She has a lot of courage to put this out at such a young age, that too her debut. I'm speechless. A TEENAGE ALBUM. It perfectly depicts the emotions that every adolescent goes through. yeah, I know probably not the best order but you try and put this at this age, anyone would be **** lost.     It is really a great debut album. She’s new to the industry we need to cut her some slack. I think because of Billie Eillish’s massive debut we’ve set a standard for teenagers to debut with an icebreaker album which is not fair. Pop is a massive genre. However, she did break many records with her debut single, she shows much potential with that and her debut album. More power to her!!

    Sour is definitely one of the better debut albums, and better albums of the year. While it’s not the best. You’re definitely allowed to repeat most of these songs. With songs such as ‘Brutal’, ‘Traitor’ and ‘Jealousy, Jealousy’, this album should definitely be considered a top-tier album of the year.

    Olivia is an incredible young artist! She did such a great job with this album. Variety of the songs is amazing, but the most important - lyrics. She is making a history.

    sour is average, some songs make it look like a new copy of Taylor Swift, but as well as innovative, driver's license and deja vu are incredible, moreover it sounds raw

    Sour, for the most part, is a pop album that dips its toes into the alt-pop and bedroom pop subgenres, specifically spending most of its time in the latter. ... Rodrigo's lo-fi deep cuts that were made in the shadow of "Drivers License" can sound a bit repetitive. Her craft as a songwriter is especially evident on tracks like "Enough For You", "Happier", or "Hope Ur Ok", but the acoustic complexion these songs were going for could have benefitted from a bit more background noise.

    By the end of the album, Rodrigo has established her voice and showed listeners that she's not afraid to be vulnerable. SOUR is a strong debut that vividly illustrates the beautiful chaos of being inside a teenage girl's brain.
