THIS ALBUM IS THE BEST, A VERY PERFECT JUXTAPOSITION OF SO MANY GENRES. THUS ALBUM TELLS A STORY AND IT IS QUITE CLEAR. Through Harry's use of musical instruments, background music, harmonies, chorus etc he wanted to tell a story, he wanted us to feel what he felt while composing each song of this album. He has done it perfectly.

The songs in this album are an escalation from happy to sad songs. Most of them are very catchy indeed.

At times funky pop, folky rock, or classic ballad, there’s a song (or more) here for every mood, but somehow it all hangs together really well! A lot of the themes revolve around loneliness or break ups but it’s a very joyful album.

Fine Line is a brilliant album. Deep meanings and glow up of Harry’s music, beautiful. It is the classic album that you keep listening to.

A sonatic masterpiece from lots of mellow 80s inspired soft pop to bowie-esque rock like 'She' to Beatles influenced sounding tracks like 'To Be So Lonely' with lyrics like "all the lights couldn't put out the dark running through my heart"

i'm giving this high scores based on an actual mixed feeling about this album. firstly, it's good, it really is. The vibe it creates during the first 4 songs are smooth, trendy, and with really good tune. I like Cherry a lot, not so much for Falling (i do enjoy it tho, it's like my guilty pleasure). She is definitely the best track in this album, even in his two albums. She is definitely the best track in this album, even in his two albums. The last 4 tracks are more chill and cheerful, with the west coast indie pop vibe. Then there's Fine Line, the epic track with a vivid vision built up around it. Perfect for the closure. i mean i literally don't hate any of these 12 tracks. This album has it's flaws, this is with no doubt. But still, it's genuine and well written, well produced and his vocal has improved so much. Good work Harry, this is from a mid-aged music fan in love with Blur and other Britpop **** when she is younger. You could definitely do better in your next album. Expand

This is one of the best albums of 2019. And it’s been out less than a month. Harry managed to produce one of the most eclectic, unique, gut wrenching, joyous albums I’ve ever had the privilege of listening to. It’s been a pleasure seeing him grow as an artist, watching him take more risks, and completely blow his first album out of the water (Self-titled is obviously still my baby though). This is one of the best albums of 2019. The album is truly spectacular. Everything from the lyrics to the melodies are absolutely perfect. You can see from the songs that Harry worked so hard on it and poured his hard out. It also shows how much Harry had grown comfortable in his own skin after the band.

One of the best albums on 2019. He did a magnificent job of stepping away from mainstream music and doing his own thing. Harry Styles is an artist not to be slept on, and he deserves all the praise thrown his way! Congrats Harry on your second number one album!! May your 2020 tour bring you much joy and even more success.

Free of the shackles that hobbled his debut, Styles manages to show more of his personality here, especially on the Vampire Weekend-style Sunflower, Vol. 6. It's just a shame he can't quite keep up with his ambition. [Feb 2020, p.110]

Fine Line is entirely inoffensive, but it’s also open-ended, and maybe those questions are the reward. Maybe Harry Styles just wants to keep us guessing.

Fine Line proves that the musician has absorbed the best lesson passed down by California’s great musicians: Don’t be afraid to take chances within a folk- or pop-rock framework, as that’s how you create iconoclastic music that endures.
