Brilliant, inspiring and wonderful, what a way to bring psychedelic pop / rock back to the scene, embrace your freedom and take it on a journey of solitude, drugs and self-discovery.

The way he became more mature and aware that he’s constantly finding himself and being open is what make this album so special. He has nothing more to hide. He is fully open-hearted and passionate, jumping into it in a way that he never did. The album is so smart and so authentic, you can really see Harry in every part of it. Him finding himself passionate and scared of loosing something good in “Golden”, the selfish, sad and **** personality in “To be so Lonely” and his weird, happy and incredible mind in “Sunflower” is what explains that he CAN explore and expose himself in a beautiful and truthful way in this album. Congratulations, Harry. You were able to create something amazing in such a soft and easy way. Expand

“Fine Line” by Harry Styles is a masterpiece, lyrically and sonically. Styles has displayed immense growth from his previous self-titled album. From the top of the album (“Golden”) to the final track (“Fine Line”), Styles takes listeners on a journey where he works through his sadness and jealousy, and ends on a hopeful note as he learns to accept himself.

best album you’ll ever listen to ON JAH. so much depth, character, and openness on this album throughout the different sounds harry plays around with on each track. having an altogether resonating theme of healing from heartbreak, harry succeeds once again in making a genuine and lighthearted album with a 70’s british rock twang to it. WE LOVE TO SEE IT

Harry Styles is going to be the Prince, the Elton, the Queen, Pink Floyd and Beatles of our generation. Anyone rating a low score is just bitter Styles is COMING for their faves. A wonderful work of art perfectly describing love and falling out of it, and the road to self discovery. Expand

Amazing album! I especially like Cherry, To Be So Lonely, She, and Sunflower Vol. 6! Sunflower Vol. 6 makes me recall warm summer days, but so does Golden! The guitar solo in She is just....CHEF’S KISS! Cherry is just a cute song...PERIOD. You can’t skip the voicemail because to me it just completes the song.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Harry’s sophomore album is beautiful and heart felt. It is honest and real. When he feels heart break we feel heartbroken along with him. The album name was a perfect fit because the album is a ‘fine line’ between deep joy and deep sadness. The album will perform very well on tour. I went to see Harry at his recent London show and the album worked perfectly well live! Well done Harry, even better than the last ❤️ Expand

In this album Harry really opened up to his fans and shared a personal experience with them through his music. He has created tracks with lyrics that so many people can relate to on a personal level which gives them a connection to his music. He isn't following the stereotypical pop music guidelines but still getting in the top charts which truly displays his talent.

Free of the shackles that hobbled his debut, Styles manages to show more of his personality here, especially on the Vampire Weekend-style Sunflower, Vol. 6. It's just a shame he can't quite keep up with his ambition. [Feb 2020, p.110]

Fine Line is entirely inoffensive, but it’s also open-ended, and maybe those questions are the reward. Maybe Harry Styles just wants to keep us guessing.

Fine Line proves that the musician has absorbed the best lesson passed down by California’s great musicians: Don’t be afraid to take chances within a folk- or pop-rock framework, as that’s how you create iconoclastic music that endures.
