Despite the light hearted brushstrokes throughout Brave Fencer Musashi, this disc houses one of the richest and most satisfying videogames I've ever enjoyed.
This action adventure RPG is packed with side-scrolling style action, three-dimensional action, lots of challenging puzzles, tons of characters, and scads of enemies' abilities that you can acquire and use yourself.

Out of all the hidden gems I have ever played this is the one that deserved to be huge. It's in my top 5 favorite games of all time. Beware though, some parts are challenging.

It will leave an indelible mark on your gamer life. A gem in games history. Still today is great fun to play and his clever ‘cartoonish’ graphic makes it immortal. You can literally feel all the love creators put in this game.

It's fast action, and unique, varied game play makes this game a blast and a half.
It's an incredible game filled with interesting story development, characters and objectives. Squaresoft has produced another winner!
It's a fun game that relies more on gameplay and exploration than it does on flashy special effects, and it features a lengthy (although linear) quest that should satisfy even the most critical gamer.
Musashi is a very preset character and doesn't go through much of a change in the game. His loud mouthed arrogance may leave some even hating him.
Fraught with inconsistencies and potholes. Although it is a satisfactory, basic RPG, it is nowhere near the level of excellence that it should be.
A game that is deserving of a port to the PS4 classics library. Would be thrilled seeing a Remaster of it too. Was not a fan of the cheesy voices, but the sound effects were crisp and the gameplay mechanics were solid. The storyline was quirky and fun.

Brave Fencer Musashi feels like it tried to do a bunch of things, but bit off way more than it could chew. The action, platforming and RPG elements don’t mesh well and a lot of the ideas are either too simple or aren’t as refined as they should be.
