The graphics are breathtaking. After minutes of play the real world around you just seems to melt away...May many, many hours of great gameplay be with you!
With stunning graphics and superb gameplay, Starfighter succeeds in rescuing the franchise from movie license purgatory.

One the best space shooters that has been released on PC or console and in the Star Wars universe or out of it. It has a similar feel to titles like "Colony Wars," "Rogue Squadron," and the X-Wing/Tie-Fighter games, but on a much larger and more polished scale.
The in-game models, landscapes, lighting and explosions are all in keeping with the Star Wars galaxy, and the engine is no slouch either.
One of the most visually stunning games for the deuce. This, coupled with engrossing arcade gameplay, kept me coming back for more. It's a must-have for your PS2 library.
While Starfighter could have used a little more polish in both departments, the game presents a compelling story, excellent presentation, and gameplay that will surely satisfy fans of LucasArts' N64 shooters.
Somewhat of a mixed bag - the game has frenetic shooting action and decent control, but it's mediocre mission design and short length make keep it from the greatness of such predecessors like "Tie Fighter" and "Rogue Squadron."
