The game is a cinematic experience that could make a rock emotional, offering newcomers and seasoned zombifiers alike the chance to experience that jaw-dropping, heart-pounding feeling. [Issue#322]
Unforgettable characters, sky-high stakes, nail-biting action, and impeccable pacing make The Last of Us Part I a superlative gaming experience in every possible sense.
I've just logged in to say BIG THANK YOU !!! to Noughty Dog for making this AMAZING remake.
It's a 10/10, it's a jaw dropping expierence.
I've played it on ps3 couple of times, also on ps4, than ps4pro and to be perfectly honest, i buyed ps5 mostly for making a shot at this remake.
It was 10/10 when it had its premiere on ps3, but now, years later, its been PERFECTED in extraordinary way.
Changes are HUGE.
It feels technicaly like its PART II.
These are two best games out there - the first chapter and sequel (+Left Behind).
THANK YOU ND !
You are the best.
What a journey !
This is the best game for players who want to feel the impression of the original once again with improved graphics. It delivers the nostalgic impression we have all experienced beyond time with outstanding narratives and enhanced facial expressions of the characters. However, the fully priced game despite the same story in 9 years can make you think twice before buying it.
Worthy of being hailed as a potential Game of the Generation when it was first released, The Last of Us Part I is fully remade for a new generation of PlayStation consoles. With some of Naughty Dog's best graphical tech to date, this is one you'll have to see to believe.
The Last of Us Part 1 is the definitive way to experience the original story and Left Behind. However, it’s hard to recommend it over the PS4 remaster. I appreciate all the work that went into enhancing the visual and audio fidelity and gameplay. However, it’s just not $50 worth of improvement, and the lack of new content means you’re not missing out too much if you decide to go cheaper.
With a hefty price tag and less content than its more than acceptable PS4 counterpart, The Last of Us Part 1 is an entirely unnecessary remake with gorgeous graphics that only make its dated gameplay stick out even more.
The Last of Us Part 1: A Masterpiece of Storytelling and Emotion
The Last of Us Part 1 stands as a towering achievement in the world of video games, blending masterful storytelling, emotionally resonant characters, and breathtaking visuals to create an unforgettable experience. From the moment the game begins, it grips you with its intense and heartbreaking prologue, setting the stage for a journey that is as harrowing as it is beautiful.
Narrative Excellence
The narrative is the heart and soul of *The Last of Us Part 1*. It follows Joel, a weary and hardened survivor of a post-apocalyptic world, and Ellie, a young girl who may hold the key to humanity's survival. Their relationship evolves naturally and believably, filled with moments of tenderness, tension, and profound depth. The writing is exceptional, with dialogue that feels genuine and characters that are richly developed. This is not just a story about survival, but about the bonds that form in the face of overwhelming adversity.
Stunning Visuals and Atmosphere
Visually, the game is a marvel. The environments are meticulously crafted, from the decaying urban landscapes overrun by nature to the eerie, claustrophobic interiors that hide unseen dangers. The attention to detail immerses players in a world that feels both real and hauntingly beautiful. The use of lighting and sound further enhances the atmosphere, creating a sense of dread and suspense that permeates every moment.
Gameplay Mechanics
The gameplay mechanics are equally impressive. The combat is tense and strategic, requiring players to carefully manage resources and choose between stealth or direct confrontation. The AI of both enemies and allies is sophisticated, providing challenging and dynamic encounters. The crafting system adds another layer of strategy, as players must scavenge for materials and make critical decisions about how to use them.
Emotional Impact
What truly sets *The Last of Us Part 1* apart is its emotional impact. The game does not shy away from difficult themes and moments of profound sadness. It explores the complexities of human nature and the lengths people will go to protect those they love. The performances by the voice actors, particularly Troy Baker as Joel and Ashley Johnson as Ellie, are nothing short of phenomenal. Their performances breathe life into the characters, making their struggles and triumphs all the more affecting.
Conclusion
The Last of Us Part 1 is more than just a game; it is an experience that stays with you long after the credits roll. It is a testament to the power of interactive storytelling, demonstrating how video games can evoke deep emotions and tell stories that rival those of any other medium. For anyone who appreciates a gripping narrative, complex characters, and immersive gameplay, The Last of Us Part 1 is an absolute must-play. It is a masterpiece that will be remembered and cherished for years to come.

This review aims to highlight the game's strengths and articulate why it is held in such high regard.
I heard this was one of the best games of all time- the game was very linear, which i personally don’t like, but i could understand why other people would like it. Definitely a must play but i probably won’t play it again/ platinum.
Whats hard about rating TLOU in 2024 is that, while when it came out in was groundbreaking to have a coherent well written story in a game ,with coherent well designed gameplay, now, there is almost nothing that TLOU did that another, more modern game hasn't done better. It's weird to think about, but characters really didn't feel realized outside of cutscenes in basically every AAA game before this came out (With notable exceptions being masterpieces). An eight for all the good it did to AAA games and a five for it's mid ass gameplay in gods year 2024.
While the game itself is still as good as the original, the issue stems from the fact that it doesn't do enough to warrant a high asking price aside from having a nicer coat of paint. If the game was sold at $40 at launch, there wouldn't have been as much justified criticism levied at this game. Or, even better, have it offered as a free, or inexpensive ($10-$15) upgrade if you own a copy of Last of Us Remastered on PS4. At full price, this game is a 4/10, for the game still being good, and looking great, but not doing enough to warrant the price tag. At $40 the game would be a solid 8/10. Wait for a sale if you want to buy this game.
Hailed as a wonderful and revolutionary game I decided to buy it for pc (I don't own a Playstation) and play this supposed masterpiece. A piece of crap in all respects but let's go in order. GRAPHICS VOTE 4: Old with obvious problems of stuttering and textures that do not load at times looks like a ps1 game.... STORY VOTE 3: Boring, predictable no plot twists, forgotten as soon as the game is finished. LEVEL DESIGN VOTE 2: If you want to call it that.....Tiny areas (looks more like mazes...) with no possibility to freely move from one to another (NO open world) it takes only a few minutes to visit them entirely... UI VOTE 6: Nothing special but at least it does its job. AI VOTE 4: Sometimes they forget about you and go back to starting point.... It is supposed to be a survival game but excluding the scarcity of ammunition it has nothing survival about it.... Example looking for food, building shelters etc etc. Bad game, boring and repetitive it was better if they had made a movie surely it would have entertained and enjoyed me more
