The first four episodes of She-Hulk are a delightful ride. The performances of the cast and the chemistry they have with one another far outweigh any complaints anyone could have about the CGI. If the final five episodes are anywhere near this charming, then Marvel has an absolute win on their hands.
A feather-weight workplace comedy that owes its success almost entirely to the delightful Tatiana Maslany in the title role. ... Whether in hulk or human form, this queen of green smashes it.
This is probably my favorite piece of the MCU. It's unfortunate that there's review bombing for the "woke" content. This both captures realistic attorney and court procedure while also being a fun superhero story. Tatiana Maslany kills.
A great show deeply under rated and misunderstood. A amazing modern adaptation of modern She-Hulk comics. Amazing execution and a balance of humor and action. A mature look at a 4th wall breaking hero. Would love to see this show continue to develop their story over a 2nd season.
If the rest of the season follows through on the promise of the first four episodes, with the strength of its clear and unique voice shining through, She-Hulk could prove to be exactly the sort of light divergence this franchise needs.
It is Maslany who brings the most energy to the show, hating her nickname because it's a derivative of a man's and breaking the fourth wall Fleabag-style. I will say that the bits when she is alone with Banner at his beach hideout drag somewhat, and it's silly quite a lot of the time, but it succeeds. A superhero tale with a serious message but which doesn't take itself too seriously.
The show still searches for its voice, bogged down by larger tasks of fitting into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, developing Phase 4, and establishing this character in a world teeming with superheroes.
It’s disheartening to watch something that should play out like a delightfully bad ’80s cartoon squander every last bit of its promise once more in favor of falling back on a hemorrhaging formula. This is Marvel’s latest in a run of grand, ultimately useless tricks to distract from a complete and utter lack of imagination.
Love this show!! its so funny and I love how she talks to the camera, just brilliant. I think people miss the point that hero's also have personal lives and need to make money as well as have romantic relationships. She makes fun of how dating in your thirties is a nightmare which is so true. I can't believe this show is getting so much hate... From what I've seen in these user reviews confirms the fact that people are hell and need to seriously get a sense of humor and stop being so toxic. Shame really how such a great show can be called trash by people that clearly only have trash thoughts.
Ehhhhh, it’s okay. I think it was slammed a bit too hard, due to its representation of men being mainly negative and being every ‘bad guy’, and the comedy was often few and far between. I am glad the finale averted being about ‘the explosive finale fight’, and went for a more nuanced approach that is appropriate for the character.
Luckily the mandela effect is in full force, and we have already forgotten the existence of this... well... "thing".Badly written, caricatures, above all it presents a problem that is never discussed because it is hidden behind the whole "people who hated it because it was woke". Newsflash, this is NOT woke. This is just plain bad. And trying to write something empowering for women, written by white-as-heck-privileged women who never had to face any real issues results in this: a series that feels like it is mansplaining feminism to women. Which is a cluster$!@ in its own right. We need better storytellers and directors. Surely they can find better than this.
Not as bad as Velma or Captain Marvel, has a few jokes and punches that land, but ends up extremely cringe. If this was supposed to empower women, it backfired royally.
