There’s very little to complain about when it comes to Sex Education’s third outing and those who loved the first and second seasons will be thrilled with the upcoming episodes, which set the same raunchy tone and tell similarly important stories about adolescent love.
In its third outing, the series remains cringingly honest and engagingly heartfelt, with just the right amount of pathos and the occasional outrageous sight gag.
The third season of Sex Education establishes itself, once again, as one of the best and most interesting productions on Netflix. The series stirs the feelings of those who are watching while those young people, and also adults, are discovering themselves between mistakes and successes, that is, just living. Bringing up issues of friendship, romance, trauma, sex and identity, the new episodes once again succeed in telling deep stories that bring identification.

Sex education is, for me, one of the best currently running TV shows. Whilst its plot is good its best aspect is 100% its characterisation. It is soooo good at being relatable and believable. I genuinely don't think there's characters I 100% hate; everyone has their own motivations and, even when I dislike them, I can at least see why they are the way they are. One of the main issues I have with teen dramas is that they can be a bit melodramatic and OTT. Sex education just avoids this so well, the vast majority of issues that come up are a) either something I've dealt with directly or b) something that I know other people irl have dealt with. I think this is what makes the show so powerful - its just so relatable and never forces me to suspend my belief unnecessarily. I just love it, the journey of each character is just so well written and plotted. I love a show with amazing characterisation and this show is the best of the best for that.
The drama that springs between characters isn’t as earthshaking as the drama rising at Moordale, and this may be “Sex Education”s most important detail. ... Nunn makes the world rumble with her overarching plot instead, and so “Sex Education” lets us feel, put in a word, good. But it doesn’t ask us to look away from all that makes us feel bad, either, and that’s even better.
Season 3 gives the show’s multifaceted ensemble cast more room to run riot while pushing forward with its ever-diverse storylines. Proof you can never have too much of a good thing.
The focus is wider (Jean and Jakob’s is one of the many adult relationships given more attention, and there are more students introduced too) and perhaps as a result the strokes are broader.
One of the best shows on TV now. However, like many other hit shows, once it made it past season one it really cut back on the nudity. (How everyone seems to have sex all the time while never getting naked is beyond me.)
Still, great acting and storylines. The only downside is the networks idiotic decision that a "season" these days consists of a mere 8 episodes.
"Seasons" used to be what, 26 episodes and often 1 or two extras like a Christmas episode.
Soon we'll be lucky if a "season" has more than 1 new episode every 3 months.
Succumbing to contrived storylines, easy to hate villains and cyclical arcs beyond wanting closure from the first 2 seasons there really is no reasons
To watch this show. Character development is neglected for excess as more students are introduced. It failed to make an impact and fell into monotony very quickly. Sparks of brilliance such as otis mom's relationship or mr.groffs growth aren't given the attention they deserve. Instead maeve's tired "will they won't they "(but u know they will) thing with otis is insufferable and robs the story of enjoyment. Eric still remains compelling. I'm glad he's given dimensions through not always being the good positive selfless **** guy but makes selfish harsh decisions. I love that Adams growth happend independent of Eric and he wasn't just made a Top but a verse. Those parts of the season could argue on the shows favour. But it wasn't enough to apologize for the unnecessary school headmaster defiance plot.
