It’s exciting, with each twist and turn arriving as clues to better understand this crazy place, from its smallest elements to its greatest themes. And yet, the answers to the mysteries always take a backseat to the interpersonal dynamics among the survivors.
With a confidence that seems to grow with each episode, Guzikowski’s series proves a formidable descendant of its great predecessors, imbued with their finest qualities as well as its own distinctive virtues.
Holy cow, I didn't know how it could be better than season 1, but season 2 manages to deliver some of the best content from the mind of Ridley Scott since Alien. This show is highly underwatched and underrated. If you are a fan of heady sci fi that also explores the ins-and-outs of human nature with a fine toothed comb, while also satirizing theology. then you've came to the right place. No big stars in it either which to me makes it all the more believable. Excellent programming from Ridley and HBOmax!!!
A future-shock caper with real weight, it harks back satisfyingly to the sci-fi that existed before George Lucas fired up his lightsaber and ruined all the fun.
So far, Raised By Wolves Season 2 isn’t trying to appeal to a wider fanbase, but is playing to its core audience of weirdos. The new season doesn’t just feed us; it gorges us on knotty science fiction and bonkers plot twists. Again, if you liked the first season, you’ll continue to love Raised By Wolves in Season 2.
Though it continues to spend an inordinate amount of time panning over its beautiful and haunting sepia-tinged landscapes and offering vague critiques of the cruel and warlike nature of humans, Raised By Wolves is at its most riveting when viewers get the opportunity to simply watch a close-up shot of Mother’s face as she attempts to reconcile what she wants to do with what she knows she should do instead.
This show is laughably bad. Just about everything is worse than the first season, and that’s saying something. The script is nonsensical, and the special effects look like they were pulled from a PS1. I don’t know who greenlit this garbage but they shouldn’t be allowed near a checkbook for their own safety.
