  1. L.A. unknowns Eastern Conference Champions co-opt Radiohead's dense existential dread, Band of Horses conjure up another beardy folk ramble, and this summer's palest citizens get a pretty solid ready-made mixtape.
  2. As weary a cliche as it may be, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse proves that the third time is indeed the charm for the series’ music; more than a few songs here sound like music vampires would enjoy, which is surely a step in the right direction.
  3. Vampire juggernaut goes indie schmindie for third outing.
  4. Eclipse--which adheres to the "Twilight" soundtrack formula of mixing alt-rock heavyweights with buzzed-about indie acts.
  5. The cynical will comment that it’s merely a method of extracting income from a different market sector – but much like the last instalment, New Moon, there’s the feeling that consideration beyond the usual call of duty went into the assembling of this 15-track end product.
  6. The third Twilight soundtrack mostly reprises its predecessors' mix of strong songs and romantic washouts.
  7. All and all, this album is not great. As an introduction to indie music for a generation of youth, it's a missed opportunity. However, it could be a lot damn worse.
