  1. Rarely has the Inferno sounded this inviting.
  2. It's a great debut for a band with an impressive, distinctive sound.
  3. Nearly embarrassing levels of enthusiasm, sincerity, and energy inform Fort Nightly, the band's surprisingly meaty debut.

Pick of the bunch is 'March of the Camels,' which marries a doomy baseline with children's choir backing vocals, and exemplifies their gift for the surreal. [Apr 2008, p.117]
  5. As lyrically eclectic and clever as it is musically, this is one fascinating album.
  6. The White Rabbits’ Fort Nightly hijacks the ear and never lets go as it saunters, bursts and recoils with a fusion of ska, tango tweaked guitar riffs and shouts edging toward desperation.
  7. What makes Fort Nightly rise above the dance-rock pack is an ear for writing immediately catchy songs.

Fort Nightly has some strong moments, but much of it is hit and miss. [Summer 2007, p. 86]

there's a bit too much scene-setting and not enough storyline, but overall this is some rollicking debut. [May 2008, p.113]

Very solid debut. nearly as good as Spoon's new record, and I only make the comparison because they have a similar sound.

A unique and inventive album! I found myself waking up the next morning, singing refrains in my head. The music is meaty yet playful. I would A unique and inventive album!
