The core idea, getting some inspiration from Dead Nation, is good, but the execution isn’t. As usual, playing with friends is fun, but that’s about it.
SOOO where do i start. first of all it was epic. i mean i was waiting for the sexond part forever. I love this movie so much - i can pretty much fall asleep to it.
I hope they make more parts.
Fun game. Takes a while to get into it. Once you get down the weapons and shooting, it's a bloodbath. It allows you to build your characters as you progress. Has some funny moments. I thought it would be different but I like it for what it is. It's worth picking up.
The reason why Zombieland was popular was because it was quirky, the characters were charming, and it was hilariously meta (I’m looking at you, Bill Murray). The makers of Road Trip try to recapture that glory but they seemed to have missed the part about how the characters made that movie. Much like how the phrase ‘Nut up or shut up’ was already tired by the end of the first movie, Road Trip is tired even as it boots up. So much so that most of the dialogue given to Tallahassee is that phrase that has been worn out for a full decade. Luckily, Double Tap itself was much better than its game counterpart. Based on historical examples, this isn’t the first time nor will it be the last time we can make that statement.
Zombieland Double Tap Road Trip completely strips away the charm and wit which makes the films so endearing and replaces it with cheesy mind-numbing dialog sprinkled with dull gameplay. It's basically an overpriced two-hour promo for the movie that has very little to offer unless you are a hardcore fan of twin-stick shooters or Abigail Breslin.
The game itself is fun but it is rather short. Took me not even 2hrs on standard difficulty for one playthorugh. It is notable that there is a certain replayability due to coop and horde mode although it didnt feel too appealing. I encountered a bug where I finished the level (with health left) but it seemed that I died during the cutscene and had to do it again, was a bit unfortunate. All in all it is a fun twin-stick shooter, If you can get it for under 10 bucks it might be worthwhile if you like twin-stick shooter and/or zombie shooters but dont expect too much. Even for genre-fans this is highly unlikely a 8+ game.
I'm gonna be honest, I love the film's but the game is horrible right off the bat first of all none of the characters look like they had much work put into them at all and you can get hit through walls you aren't even nearby it's a waste of money
