Coboldi & Catacombe turns out to be an optimally conceived expansion, capable of sensitively moving the goal that, we remember, these days is still in turmoil.
I've got to hand it to them, Kobolds & Catacombs was quite the surprise. My expectations weren't soaring, but boy, was it a barrel of fun. Even if they didn't weave an epic saga, they definitely amped up the gameplay to make up for it. I'm really digging the concept they've brought to the table.
One of the best expansions for the collectible card game from Blizzard without any doubt. Solo adventures are pure fun and the new meta shines under the new legendary weapons and minions. It's time to come back on the servers.. just don't touch the candles!
At first, this expansion didn't seem like much, legendary weapons are not as cool or high-impacty as hero death knights from Frozen Throne. Many cards might seem slightly underwhelming at first, but the more I play the more I love it. No completely broken cards, very diversified meta, nice oldschool dungeon atmosphere and most importantly - Dungeon Runs! By far the best single player/pve content Hearthstone ever offered. Rogue-like ever-changing source of fun. During first week of expansion I wasn't even interested in playing PVP because I had so much fun doing one dungeon run after another. I still have the problem with how little rewarding Hearthstone is compared to some other games. The overall accessibility of content should still be improved. Legendary weapons for instance should have been given as a reward for completing the dungeon run with that class and some additional reward system should be connected to playing this mode, because now that I finished all classes, there is no incentive to play the mode further except for occasional fun runs, you cannot even finish your quests in there. But other than that and few minor gripes (number of deck slots limit is really getting annoying more and more with time). Hearthstone as a game is overall getting better and I'm pretty happy with it current state and hope it will continue to improve. 9/10
