Ace Hood came out of nowhere to deliver the most well rounded, engaging gangsta rap album on a major label in some time.

While this isn't a giant leap forward or a stunning diversion from previous releases, Hood's on a roll and it's hard not to welcome the usual power and polish

While none of the songs are straight terrible (except "Bugatti") none leave me feeling like I'd want to leave the CD in my whip on a long trip--it would probably lull me to sleep and I'd crash.

Although he only really touches on 1 general type of rap (i.e. trap rap, hardcore rap) what he does do he does well. It is always nice to have an artist that can vary their style song after song, it is also something to be respected when an artist realizes that he/she is good at a specific style, then sticks to it. Ace touches on mainly shallow subject matters, with a few deeper lyrics on songs like "Trials and Tribulations". Overall, this was a very good effort from Ace, and I hope to see more of this in the future. Full Review »

He has been able to tell usJust like the other albums Ace Hood hasn't really done something extra. But this is just the best version of him. He has been able to tell us about he's life story thus far with all the challenges faced in the best way possible. As for the production, it's on point. But their seems not to be any diversity on this one. Same story, same beats, same flow. Afraid it may get boring eventually. Full Review »
