The realest, most honest rap album in recent memory.

File this one next to C-Murder's Truest $#!@ I Ever Said as it's a gripping prison album that is embracing freedom upon its release, but know that this is a much more polished effort.

The record isn't the home run Boosie probably needs. It could stand to be trimmed a bit.

The 19-track album drags a bit in its latter half, but Boosie smartly saves its emotional climax for the devastating closer, "I'm Sorry," on which he apologizes one by one to everyone he neglected during his prison bid.

Boosie's attempts to remain commercially relevant in today's rap climate, however, makes the album a diluted draught of medicine and mediocre chart fodder. [Jul 2015, p.57]

I will say that it is a bit long and contains too many filler tracks, but the man was in jail for damn near 6 years so I can forgive the man, he was sitting on 1,000 songs! Production-wise it doesn't really take any risks, but then again there aren't any real misses either. Lyrically this is the best Boosie has ever been, and his pain and his losses are reflected in this brutally honest testimony. Boosie is back like he never left in the best way possible. Expand
