Even in its darkest moments... [This Too] remains grounded in a beautiful humanity. [Mar 2007, p.136]

Almost everything about this album is fragile and beautiful. [#24, p.94]

    A rewarding, intimate listen. [Mar 2007, p.101]
  4. Although This Too Will Pass is a very solid effort from a maturing artist, it seems to be missing some of the energy of previous releases.
  5. The album is just so uniform in its beauty that tracks simply blend into one another.
  6. Hirway's music is a little too gauzy for its own good, but there are enough hidden surprises... to keep you wide awake, and the album is so majestic that it remains with you like a cherished memory... even if it is a fuzzy memory.
  7. Hirway intends for much grander experience, but his shortcomings, be it insecurity or fear, do not allow him to achieve that. Instead, we're left confused over just who Hirway is, and the real loss is the lack of intimacy between the artist and his audience.
