None of it stands out, and it probably won't win Cyrus anymore awards, but overall, it's an adequately classy, charming teen-pop album that all the tweens will go crazy over. Its standout tracks are "Party in the USA", the album's lead single, and "The Time Of Our Lives", a cutesy track for the kiddies.

The songs, per se, are genuinely nice. Cyrus did quite a good job singing, that's for sure. However, the album is a little bit too much to take. There is a thin line between singing and shouting for no reason, and she crossed it. Yes, we know you are a wonderful singer and you work very hard. But there is absolutely no need for you to shout all the time to prove it to us. Try sing likeThe songs, per se, are genuinely nice. Cyrus did quite a good job singing, that's for sure. Don't be so hysterical, that will just scare people away. Expand

  1. Cyrus has always sounded older than her years, and as she leaves her teens, that's a good thing--especially since The Time of Our Lives shows her music is catching up to her pipes.
  2. The Time Of Our Lives is a great pop EP drowning in a sea of bilge.
  3. An eclectic Walmart-only mini-album, Cyrus works her ?husky chirp over big-beat disco-garage (''Talk Is Cheap''), paranoid synth-rock (''Kicking and Screaming''), and ?Les Miz-style power balladry (''Obsessed'').
