    This is Ariana’s best album to date. Those complaining are the same ones who wanted her to experiment and move away from pop, and now she has no one is happy? Ariana has clearly worked on this project for a while and put all her best efforts into it. The production, vocals and lyrics are her best to date. Notable tracks: Breathin, Get Well Soon & R.E.M.

    Her best and most cohesive album to date. Lyrics, production and vocals are out of this world. If you're doubtful I sincerely suggest giving it a few more listens before deciding; almost all of the songs are growers and take some time to be fully appreciated. She has come so far since Problem and Bang Bang and has for sure gained a new fan with this album.

    This album shows Ariana’s growth as an artist. The music production is interesting and fresh. Lyrics are fun, youthful, and endearingly lightening. The project also showcases her vocal proewess with the flawless runs. Plus the album is very cohesive! Well done Ariana!

The only slip in her fourth album is the repetitive "the light is coming" that would have suited much better as an interlude than as a full song.     Oh my God, definitely that's the best Ariana's album already released. Sweetener is totally sweet to listen cause is a wonderful mix of pop and R&B. All feats is sooo building and connective, I liked every. Get well soon is wonderful and I cried with this song, cause is sooo intuitive and beautiful.     Sweetener finds an Ariana with the eagerness to experiment and explore her "artist" side, much like her idol Imogen Heap (sampling her in Goodnight n Go), while preserving her Pop Star persona, therefore forgetting that experimenting entails walking through uncharted terrain, in which Sweetener rarely strays. It is noticeable that in the cuts produced by Ilya and Pop deity Max Martin (GodSweetener finds an Ariana with the eagerness to experiment and explore her "artist" side, much like her idol Imogen Heap (sampling her in Goodnight n Go), while preserving her Pop Star persona, therefore forgetting that experimenting entails walking through uncharted terrain, in which Sweetener rarely strays. It is noticeable that in the cuts produced by Ilya and Pop deity Max Martin (God Is A Woman and Breathin) we can hear an Ariana that is comfortable and secure of her singing abilities (preserving the sound she experimented with in Dangerous Woman), while she feels somehow drowned in the songs produced by Pharrell Williams, overtaking much of Ariana's identity as a singer in spite of the impeccable production.     This album is one of the best of the year. With this album Ariana uses different music styles that she hasn't used before. This makes the album unique. It is defiantly not just a basic pop album. She also wrote most of the songs on this album which she usually does not do. The album also flows very well together. I found every song on the album enjoyable which is very rare for me.     I truly believe this is one of the best pop albums of 2018 (we have not had many options to choose from, tbh). Sweetener is really cohesive, uplifting and well produced. Favorite songs are: REM, sweetener, successful and God is a Woman.

    Breathin' is pop perfection and literally the best pop song I have ever listened to in my whole life (as well as Into You by her prior album).

    The intro is probably the best introduction for an album I have ever listened to since Lana Del Rey's Cruel World.

    Even tho The Light Is Coming is the not-so-good song on the album, it is still amazing - Nicki's part is perfect.

    Get Well Soon is perfect, and those 40 seconds of silence in honor of the Manchester attack victims are a great way to end the album.

    Easily her best album and best album of the year. Once again, she proved she isn't just a pop girl, she's the main singer right now and one of the biggest voices ever in history.

    Sweeteneer is by far ariana’s best album so far. Deciding to change up her sound and work with pharrell was one of her best career decisions !! Too bad pop stans cancel every album which lacks of synth pop beats

The album literally brings us a sweetening experience, ahowing happiness and courage in the musics. the music sounds different from the other albuns, but this don’t make it the worst, of course, one of the best.     Ariana has certainly grown as an artist. Instead of releasing the same pop-sounding album again, she has really evolved and experimented. Fans of other artists who are bashing this album without even probably listening or wanting to like it are pathetic. This is her most wholesome and cohesive album, and it includes quality pop jams to pure R&B perfection. She really snapped.

    An amazing album, extremely different from the others, but is good to see Ariana Grande exploring new styles and types of music. A listen for the 1st time and I didn't like it at all, but I'm so addicted now.
    I just don't like Blazed and Borderline... But the rest of the album is so nice! Congratulations Ariana Grande, giving to us, another good album with so much quality and different songs.

It is glad to see that Ariana attempts different styles. Nevertheless, most of these songs are not very successful. Blazed(5/10) and Botherline(5/10) are insipid. For the second part, the tracks are more like the original Ariana. Most of the tracks are bops. The best track is absolutely Breathin and the meaning behind it is wonderful(10/10). Everytime is cute especially the laughter in the end(9.5/10). Raindrops is a great intro(9.5/10 Ariana is always good at making intro). God is a woman is powerful(10/10). No tears left to cry is a grower(9.5/10). Goodnight n go is beautiful especially the finale of the tone(10/10). Better off is cute(9.5/10). Pete Davidson is sweet but too short(9/10). Overall it is good but not perfect. In my opinion, Dangerous Woman is more catchy despite the lyrical content is not good.… Expand

    After listening for the first time, it immediately becomes clear to me that the album "Sweetener" is some kind of an attempt to return to the origins, its origins - "Yours Truly", with a cross between the following album in the form of a couple of tracks.
    In general - not bad, but it could be much better

    The album is not bad. The second part is so good. But the first part is awful. Pharrell is a good producer and he has made great hits, but lately he’s not that good. The songs produced by him are bad. Thanks God Max Martin and Ilya were on the production of some songs. Ari, you can do better. Dangerous Woman remains superior.

    All songs on sweetener are exceptional, but almost all of them adopt the same dream-pop sound. The fifteen-track album could have been an EP and would leave the same sonical effect on listeners. Favourite tracks: the light is coming, R.E.M, God is a woman, borderline

    The album is good. but there's something that makes me feel bored while listening to the album. For me, the beat is same. To be honest, Dangerous Woman is better than Sweetener. but i there are some bops to this album like God is a Woman, Successful, Breathing and Sweetener they sound good actually.

    Definitely a 5.5/10 for me. The singles were good to start off with (besides of TLIC which was mediocre) and created a false sense that this album would be strong. Most of the album cuts sounded repetitive, and the ballads, lyrically, had no soul for me. The album is definitely her worst and average at best.

    It's just nomal. Pharrell definitely made this album worse. "Everytime" and "Breathin" are the best two. I miss Dangerous Woman.

    Ariana wanted Sweetener to have a different sound from anything she has released before and although she succeeded in that as there isn't anything else out right now that sounds similar, it misses the mark. I am a huge fan of Ariana but i am very disappointed in this album. It's full of unsatisfying production, which is not her fault entirely. Of course there were some stand outs on this album that were excellent such as Breathin, Everytime and Goodnight n Go that showed her talent and abilities but there just isnt enough in this album. I expected better, especially after no tears left to cry and God is a woman were amazing singles that I still love to this day. I hope she never goes to Pharrell ever again as it didnt work out. Dangerous Woman remains her best album for its cohesiveness, production, vocal ability and bops. Hopefully Sweetener grows on me.

    I think it is fair to say that we knew that Ariana was never going to top Dangerous Woman this era after 'no tears left to cry'. However in saying that, Sweetener is a close second to that album. The album is different to what listeners got to know from Ariana's last 3 eras.     I'm surprised in a good way, it's a sonically incredible album, Ariana's vocals deserve to be studied, low notes that cause shivers, good beats and wonderful lyrics, I just hope the pharrell is not in her future projects.

    Sweetener is an album that incorporates a new facet in the musical career of Ariana Grande. With letters of superacion and a great and intimate love to her boyfriend Pete Davidson. The strong point of the album is the voice of Ariana, personally I think it is her best album vocally.
    In if the album is very good, but we expected more.

    Sweetener is one of the best albums releasen this year. It’s filled with bops such as ”breathin” and ”god is a woman” and is completely different from her previous work.

    The amount of people giving this album a bad review is really sad. You asked Ariana to experiment, she did and then you complain? She can't win. I'm so impressed with it. Her best piece of work to date.

The singles 'No Tears Left to Cry' and 'God is a Woman' were extremely good, which gave me false hope for the album, as I thought it would be more pop-oriented. Overall, I would say half of the album is good, though two (R.E.M, Borderline) of the Pharell tracks are good. I feel like if it was reworked, it would be better. However, not just the Pharell produced ones, I would say that some songs had really good potential, but was wasted as the harmonies and vocal layers were all over the place (Examples: Goodnight n Go, Get Well Soon). The standouts of this album were definitely 'God is a Woman', 'Everytime', 'Breathin', 'Goodnight n Go' and 'No Tears Left to Cry'.… Expand

    Not the best album but HER best album. Each song has a story and it's very personal. It may lack vocals demonstration but it still is great as **** I can feel her through this album and that's why it's my favorite. breathin is the best song narrowly followed by god is a woman which empowers women perfectly

    sweetener, the fourth LP from the one and only Ariana Grande delivers songs such as “breathin” and “better off” which are emotional songs and the dreamy “R.E.M” that’d make you wanna fall in love. Vocally and sonically she definitely nailed it. give it a listen, definitely worth it

    Grande’s new sound, the Williams-produced Not-Bangers, only make up half of the album. These standout tracks are interspersed between standard pop tracks. ... That’s not to say that the Bangers on Sweetener are bad--it’s more that they belong in previous era of Grande and they spoil the flow between songs. Sweetener may not be the dawning of a new age for Ariana but it could be a step towards somewhere weird and wonderful.

While a few guest vocalists (Mr. Williams, Nicki Minaj, Missy Elliott) provide a little grit for contrast, Ms. Grande sails above any fray, past or present. Her aplomb is her triumph.
