I can say Cry About It Later, Tucked, & Daises are my favorite's. These songs all represent a sexy, fun, & positive side of Katy that just makes me feel good. But there are some songs I'm on a rough side about. Teary Eyes, Harley's in Hawaii, & Only Love. Teary Eyes & Harley's in Hawaii are songs trying to be fun but completely fail. Only Love has a great, amazing message but the production and some of the lyrics just failed. The album is in my opinion one of the best Katy Perry albums and it sucks that some of the songs ruined the message and theme of the album.… Expand

    En verdad es un álbum muy bien hecho y completo, Katy Perry demostró nuevamente porque es una artista que tuvo y tiene todo para seguir triunfando en la industria musical, tiene un talento indiscutible y este álbum es la muestra clara de eso aunque lo considero muy infravalorado para lo bueno que es.

    There's not a whole lot to say about this album, it's largely forgettable. The only real highlight is Never Really Over, everything else is filled with cliches, generic production, and most of the hooks aren't nearly as catchy as Katy's best work. It's, at best, a half-decent attempt at recreating her old hits, but without any of the spark that made them such great pop music.

    There is no bad music and the vocal evolution is totally clear.
    What Katy wants with this album is that we can smile, despite the moment we are living in the world. It is an album that injects spirit and makes us hope for better days.

In every release, she insists on motivational meaningless lyrics that can't help even a 10-yr-old girl improve her self-esteem. I mean it isn't the worst thing I've heard in my entire life, but it's so mediocre that makes me angry. Pop music is slowly dying and works like this are one of the main causes of that. I AM NOTKaty Perry once again shows us what she can do artistically: nothing. In every release, she insists on motivational meaningless lyrics that can't help even a 10-yr-old girl improve her self-esteem. I mean it isn't the worst thing I've heard in my entire life, but it's so mediocre that makes me angry. Pop music is slowly dying and works like this are one of the main causes of that. I AM NOT A K-POP FAN, but if you compare Smile with any other K-Pop album that has similar deepness in its lyrics, you'll see a huge difference in the input effort and technical quality. And gee… I'm not even talking about artistic quality.

    I don't know if anyone from Katy's team will read this, but if they do, please do something about her artistic choices, she has been doing the same kind of music since the teenage dream era. If you pick random singles she has released since 2010, you can't say which is from which album. I'm not giving 0 to smile only because of the standard production of the songs (that certainly comes from high investment in equipment, producers, etc, not from Katy's work).    … Expand

It tells a story and the transition between the first part of the album is so fluid and intelligent. It not only change in term of the mind space that Katy is, but the production changes with it !     Con éste nuevo álbum, katy nos demuestra que es y seguirá siendo una increíble y fabulosa pop star ya que nos trajo sonidos muy diferentes a lo que ella normalmente estaba acostumbrada (Hablando en comparación con Teenage Dream) además tiene un significado muhco más profundo que Witness.
    En conclusión; Katy nos trajo el álbum obscuro y bailable que todos los fans le han pedido.

    Always the same sound! NOTHING MORE I really expected more from this album, it's super basic, the tracks are similar, there's no emotion, you don't feel like you want to convey. I don't know until when Katy Perry will keep making the same songs she really needs to reinvent herself. has years with cheesy commercial pop. I accept that I have sung many of his songs, I loved his music yearsAlways the same sound! It’s evident that Katy wrote this album for herself and that, I think, is what makes it so perfect and relatable.     Without fleeting moments of bad taste, Perry does indeed sound mature, but she's also not quite as fun. That's a conscious choice, though. Smile is intended to evoke memories of her frivolous younger days while pointing toward a sustainable pop future.

    Like Joanne before Chromatica, Smile plays like a necessary centering exercise, indulging her insecurities and less surefire instincts. If Witness was overdetermined, Smile is an earnest exhale, for better or for worse. It delivers an image of her journey towards inner peace that is honest (if corny) and catchy (if not exactly inventive).
