This latest LP is manna for rap purists.
-
Entertainment WeeklyHe's in fine form, spitting a string of mishievously witty quotables over grimy old-school samples. [30 Mar 2007, p.71]
-
As big and as diverse as the guest list is, the album hangs and flows effortlessly.
-
Devoid of filler and pop vocalist appearances, Red Gone Wild's a solid surprise for fans who thought the Funk Doc's career had gone up in smoke.
-
Redman sounds every bit as strong in 2007 as he ever has. Unfortunately, he doesn't expand his range at all here.
-
Red Gone Wild is a strong piece of work with continuous bounce.
-
Red Gone Wild serves its purpose, reminding us that Redman can still be a lyrical beast at times.
-
The album doesn't have any of the euphorically propulsive standout tracks that held Redman's older albums together.

CalvinTAug 13, 2007This is one of the best rap albums I have heard this year, Red puts it down on this cd, for it to recieve anything lower than an 80 rating is absurd.
