De resto é um álbum com um conceito (se é pode ser chamado de conceito) tão repetitivo que poderia facilmente ser executado em apenas 5 músicas. É cansativo ouvir 13 músicas que no final falam sobre o mesmo e ainda por cima contêm a mesma batida trap simples. Não há refrões cativantes, nada. A ariana tem uma voz incrível e desperdiçou muito talento em um álbum que não oferece nada. Facilmente o pior álbum da carreira dela, no entendo tenho esperança que o próximo será muito melhor!… Expand

    I think positions is a cohesive body of work, every song fitting for the album. The album has a poppy vibe, but I personally feel like it’s more r&b. The vocal range she displays in this album in incredible, having good lows, good chest high notes and amazing whistle notes.
    The only track that is a skip for me is shut up. The best tracks are: off the table (for both lyrics and amazing    I think positions is a cohesive body of work, every song fitting for the album.     The only track that is a skip for me is shut up. The best tracks are: off the table (for both lyrics and amazing vocals, her voice and Abel’s voice working magically together), safety net (causeis a whole vibe, is so dreamy and lovely, it’s just too heavenly), just like magic for a good pop track to dance to, my hair for the chills all over the body from the last chorus which is sang in the whistle register, positions and 34+35 are radio hits (or as we call them “bops”).

    This album is very chill, yet full of vocal showcase. Ariana never fails to show her vocal abilities and passion, which is what everybody expects from a pop/R&B album. Well done, as always!

Easily the best album of 2020, Ariana Grande continues to further cement herself as the Princess of the Music Industry, reigning with her best friend,Positions is pop-R&B perfection.     This is a pandemic tbh. Her worst work of art[?], well I wouldn't consider it as an art in the first place. The production is terrible, the lyricism are hideous. Two Scooter's client release a pandemic this year, it's Changes and this album. Looking at the bright side, I luv the MV of positions and 34+35 and pov are well, tolerable.

    This album is very different from any other Ariana album, this is so much meaningful, personal and deep. She's exploring new horizons with her music, such as trap, rap, r&b and soul. All of this combined with this "Ariana flavor" we all know and love. The collaborations on this album are spot on with the topic of this album and all of their voices melt perfectly with Ariana's.

    One thing I really liked about this album is that even though the topic of the album and the lyrics in general are more "dirty" or "sexual" (not in a bad way) , the instrumentals and the vocals still very elegant and subtle. Here you can find a song called 34+35 with a very explicit lyrics, but it has violins and amazing vocals. As I said before Ariana is exploring new horizons and I'm all here for it. I've never heard anything like this before. A trap base with violins and harmonies. It's everything just perfect.    … Expand

Ariana knows she can do whatever she pleases musically without being afraid of being unsuccessful as she has one of the strongest and most loyal fan base to ever exist. Coming from a critically-acclaimed album like "Thank U, Next", Ariana had it very diffucult to top it. But, instead of moving to idk chamber pop, soft rock or even alternative reggaeton she has sticked to what she knows will work. I don't really know if she had to release an album in 2020 due to a contract but, if she has released it because she felt to, let me tell you dear this has been a mistake. Idk, I feel like it is quite forced to release a "quarantine album" specailly if you are sticking to the same formula. I personally wanted another "Sweetener" aka a quite experimental work with many anticipation and calculation to make this era perfect. Oh because that's another one: sadly, even the aesthetics are being recycled since they are almost the same as the ones used during the "Sweetener" era back in 2018 like... step out of your comfort Ari idk move to a farm in Montana and make an album that feels like a connection with nature or go to Jamaica and make a tropical album or to the deep England and make a soft British rock album, I'm just tired of hearing the same, I'm sorry. You have so much to tell from Manchester to Mac Miller and, even though that happened some time ago, we still haven't got the one where you sing your feelings nakedly. Life isn't always fun and games, don't make it seem like it, we also want to relate and feel safe and sound listening to your music while crying lol.
    Anyway, "Positions" is a quite boring, monotone album that I'm afraid will be the first of many other same projects. A true dissapointment for someone who thought this would be an extended version of "Step on Up" with some elements of "The Sound of Music" I don't know what I was thinking about.    … Expand

Easily became one of my favorite albums, 34+35 introduced a new explicit and sexy style for Ariana that she's never done before. POV is another great hit from this album that describes how she wants to be able to love herself like her lover loves her. Motive, which features Doja Cat, is an amazing laid back hit. My Hair is also a great addition to this album where Ariana sings a whole verse in her whistle tones, something many other artists cannot do.… Expand

    An amazing body of work. I never expected Ariana's sixth studio album to be R&B-esque but I'm so glad that it was. I'm never disappointed by this woman, she continues to deliver masterpiece and masterpiece, this is my favorite album of hers by far.

Some standout tracks of this album are "just like magic", a trap-pop song that speaks about Ariana spreading happiness, love, and light to everything she does while also pulling reference to the Law of Attraction— "34+35", a playful trap-pop song backed with exciting strings that explicitly plays around the 69 position— and lastly, but certainly not least: the gorgeous "my hair", an R&B song that sounds like it was taken from the past. Ariana sings about her iconic and well-known hair, while also showcasing her ethereal whistle registry.

    It's evident that Ariana put a lot of soul and effort into this album, resulting in one of the best albums put out this year.    … Expand

    Grande's lyricism is less than clever, and the production on this album isn't doing her any favors. Her vocals here do not shine as the songs are not as vocally demanding, and this record lacks the self-reflection of a masterpiece like thank u, next.

    Es un álbum variado, con el mismo toque distintivo de ariana, sigue el estilo de TUN con un poco de cambio, tiene buenas canciones como pov al igual que tiene canciones un poco simples como motive, pero en general es un buen álbum sin mucho cambio.

She could hire better songwriters or learn how to write better, since she wants to have the "yuh" factor, the grace of Audrey Hepburn and all that we all adore (and so we want excellence from her).     As always, production and quality are really good, but the songs lyrics, the melodies just seem to be copypastas from "Thank U, Next".

    I feel that Ariana in her attempt to make herself known as a sexual and free woman did not focus on her tone of voice reflecting what she says. All songs sound the same. There is no comparison to Sweetener.

    A very beautiful album in my opinion, I love that Ariana has transitioned back to R&B with Positions as all the songs are very smooth and go perfectly with her voice, plus the collabs are incredibly fitting and the harmonies are gorgeous. The cohesiveness of Positions, thank u, next and sweetener and 'new' sound of Ariana forms a type of triology, out of which Positions lands on top. TheA very beautiful album in my opinion, I love that Ariana has transitioned back to R&B with Positions as all the songs are very smooth and go perfectly with her voice, plus the collabs are incredibly fitting and the harmonies are gorgeous. The cohesiveness of Positions, thank u, next and sweetener and 'new' sound of Ariana forms a type of triology, out of which Positions lands on top. The other hand of this album is the thin line between cohesion and repetitiveness - tracks like safety net, positions and pov stand-out a lot to me - they mesh beautifully with the entire album but on their own they shine even more and become addicting. Most of the other songs however barely stand out and feel like fillers for the more interesting tracks. Overall though, Positions is well-produced and feels like a great development from her last 2 albums.… Expand

    This is one of her best albums!! Just amazing vocals and amazing songs. The lyrics are also very beautiful and true to herself.

    The songs on this album really give me chills that no other album has given me before. Every single song is amazingly incredible and marvelous from the beginning to the end.

    A very lackluster album, but definitely not a bad one. Love that R&B feeling. I just wish Ariana would've put a little more of love into it. POV is my favorite. 34+35 is such a fun track too.

    Maravilhoso como sempre! Definitivamente um dos melhores álbuns já feitos por ela. Uma vibe meio anos 90 e ousadia em investir em um ritmo que não foi feito pra hitar.

    Ariana se arrisca em fazer o álbum R&B, o álbum é maduro ele fala da sua vivência atualmente, Ariana não tem medo de falar abertamente sobre sexo, o álbum mostra toda a sua potência vocal, desde voz de cabeça até whistle falado, My Hair é um ponto alto do álbum, um R&B bem feito

    Grande is making no effort to be discreet, instead explicitly owning her sexuality—the album is called Positions, after all. The juxtaposition of beautiful violin sounds and risqué lyrics has become one of Grande’s signature sounds, and it suits her well.

    With little conflict and few psychological insights, Positions zeroes in on the enviable confidence that only pop stars on top of the world and with nothing to lose can afford. It's easy to write it off as empty calories, but pop has always been described in such terms: cake, candy, chocolate, confection. Positions isn't a "sweetener" but pure sugar.
