    this album showed her artistic growth and at the same time went back to the steps of yours truly. The rnb sound fits her voice perfectly and this project is the most cohesive she's ever put out. My top 3 is my hair, shut up and love language.

    This album is a refreshment after the repeated release of generic bubblegum pop music this past year. Positions shows just how much Ariana has grown and developed not just as an artist but as a person, and does so in a light and fun way. Beautifully produced and her vocals continue to never disappoint (will definitely listen to again)

    If youre looking for a POP Arianna, this album is not for you.
    This is R&B infused trap-pop Album..Beautiful Vocals Harmonizations, Productions and Instrumentals. She doesnt need to prove whimsical lyricism over Authentic lyrics which makes it special. Its how an artist feel and perceived. Its a post-TUN Era. 10/10.

It’s so beautifully arranged and you can really experience everything she’s singing about. My favorite tracks right now are shut up and pov, but it’s honestly really hard to choose!     the critics and the other people rating this album are mad ariana didn’t make another clean cut pop album about mental trauma and hardship. she’s clearly happy and proud of this project, one that feels fresh, new, and different. it’s meant to be fun and sees ariana delving even deeper into the rnb sound shes always been influenced by. don’t let these reviews turn you away.

    I think this is her best work so far... I think R&B or at least R&B-influenced pop is way more her element than the usual pop we hear from her. Her voice was built for R&B and soul I feel.     It is not overly vibrant as most of the pop albums these days are, and yet doesnt make you wanna sleep. It is simply perfect and makes me daydream each time i listen to it.

    Grande is making no effort to be discreet, instead explicitly owning her sexuality—the album is called Positions, after all. The juxtaposition of beautiful violin sounds and risqué lyrics has become one of Grande’s signature sounds, and it suits her well.

    Grande laid bare may well be seen as a stopgap in her canon, using taboo to checkmate her past trauma, but it does pull off the rare feat of at least sounding effortless.

    With little conflict and few psychological insights, Positions zeroes in on the enviable confidence that only pop stars on top of the world and with nothing to lose can afford. It's easy to write it off as empty calories, but pop has always been described in such terms: cake, candy, chocolate, confection. Positions isn't a "sweetener" but pure sugar.
