Her voice sounds as strong as ever and fits perfectly with the different sonic palette at play with each of the 18 tracks. To me, this is one of the best written pop albums of the 2000's, and is probably the best pop album after and next to Lorde'sHer best album. Sonically cohesive and she explores new lyrical themes in songs like The Man, and other songs that have political undertones. Her voice sounds as strong as ever and fits perfectly with the different sonic palette at play with each of the 18 tracks. To me, this is one of the best written pop albums of the 2000's, and is probably the best pop album after and next to Lorde's Melodrama. The songwriting can cut glass. She plays with new sounds in False God and Paper Rings, and does it very convincingly. This will only brighten her star power more and more and this will cement her status as the best pop writer probably ever as well as an amazing innovator. She also perfectly uses sonics from 1989 and fuses them together to create a more mature sound. A+++++++… Expand

    best album of 2019 HANDS DOWN. this album is the most raw and vulnerable you will ever witness taylor have with boppy songs literally ending sexism with “The Man” to very raw songs like “Soon You’ll Get Better” being a song about her mother getting cancer. this album is simply amazing and has a song for everyone in it!

Taylor Swift is one of my top 5 favorite musical artists of all time. The cover and cd artwork is beautiful, I love the pastel colors. Taylor Swift's writing is phenomenal especially on the songs Lover, The Archer, and Soon You'll Get Better. Taylor Swift's vocals are terrific on the album just like they always are. The production was great. I love all of the songs on Lover and I decided to rank them from 1-18 os here is my ranking Lover, Soon You'll Get Better, The Archer, Cruel Summer, You Need to Calm Down, ME!, I Forgot That You Existed, Miss Americana + the Heartbreak Prince, Paper Rings, London Boy, The Man, I Think He Knows, Afterglow, Daylight, Cornelia Street, Death by a Thousand Cuts, False God, and It's Nice to Have a Friend. The music video for ME! has outstanding visual effects and great choreography, the music video for You Need to Calm Down is fantastically fun and I loved all of the celebrity cameos, and the music video for Lover is super cute and sweet. I also loved the memo's and the behind the scenes writing and recording of I Forgot That You Existed and Lover. A hands down A+ album.… Expand
