    my review of Love Youself Tear: This album is experimental, creative, unique and absolutely gorgeous. the lyrics, the melodies and the quality of this album puts it up in bts’s top albums ever. Im so increases proud of BTS:)

    Beautifully diversive album, there is no track I skip while listening to it, which is very rare for me. All of the songs have their unique color and it emphasise all 7 members' pure talents. The lyrics really touched me to the core, an album that worths every penny!

    The structure of the album was very well done. It felt very much like a story was being told. Musically it was very out of balance. This I mean looking a the album as a complete picture. Some songs were a tad bit too generic and mainstream aimed like Airplane. But the negatives don't way up at all against the positives. Although some songs didn't seem to fit the narrative much at first sight, by doing a bit more research I found that that wasn't true at all. It was just not as easy to understand for me. They chose a unique way of portraying heart break by not only focusing on relationships but also oneself. That was very interesting.

    Very special album that leads us through what breaking up and subsequent heartache means. Not a single bad song on this album. Special mention for Outro: tear which I can only summ up with: goosebumps. Check out the numerous translations easily available on YT and other platforms, the lyrics are really worth it. Open your mind and give it a try, you will be surprised.

    Original! It has alot of genres! Its like im listening to alot of artists in one album! It takes you on a journey mixed really well as the song start it start growing on you,as someone that likes alot of genres i loved this album so much great work really an amazing flow through out the whole album.

    An amazing album that not only follows a beautiful narrative but also displays many genres of music without seeming incongruent. The lyrics are a stand out for sure.

    For me this album felt like a self-discovery musical journey. Top production quality and a lyrical excellence that reminded me of poetry. The lyrics taken from the perspective of addressing yourself resonated with me in a very deep level. Favorite track: Outro:Tear. Bravo BTS! What an outstanding album!

    Such a unique and amazing mix of hiphop, grunge, rock, latin inspired, r&b, edm in this whole album. Fake love is my favorite one. The lyrics are amazing and so relatable. I would definitely recommend 10/10

    The lyrics blew me away. 134340 and Singularity are my favorites, but Anpanman was an unexpected favorite too. First listen, I thought meh, but second and third I really started to appreciate the lyrics and the old school hip hop vibes mixed with upbeat dance. So What...you have to be in a specific mood for that song, but if you're in the mood to jump around and shake off the stress of life, then that's the song to listen to. The Truth Untold is so emotional, is so soft and heart-wrenching. Fake Love is a good jam, the chorus...you can't help but shout out FAKE LOVE with them. And last but not least TEAR is insanely good. The way the three of the rappers wove their voices and how they sectioned off parts of the song, took turns singing different parts of the chorus, was very interesting and flowed well.     Something that I always liked about BTS is that they have a song for everyone, and this album shows it really well. Every song is different, showing how much they experiment and it's incredible. Has been my favorite (right after Dark&Wild) since it was released!

    This has to be one of the best if not the best album BTS put out so far. I'm still in awe how they could put so many different genres in one album and make them fit perfectly together. My personal favourites are The Truth Untold, Airplane pt.2, Magic Shop and Outro: Tear.

    This is most likely one of the most beautiful albums in history. The composition of the songs and the order of them creates the perfect story. I love how it takes a turn for a more positive melody in the middle, and it has a genre for every person. I totally recommend this album.

    One of their best pieces of work yet. You can tell they poured their heart out producing and writing this album. I'm always so sure that BTS will not be able to surpass their past releases like "Wings", "Love Yourself: Her", HYYH pt 1, 2 & Young Forever etc. but they keep surprising me every time. I am not a k-pop fan seeing as I do not enjoy most of the songs from that industry but BTSOne of their best pieces of work yet. You can tell they poured their heart out producing and writing this album. I'm always so sure that BTS will not be able to surpass their past releases like "Wings", "Love Yourself: Her", HYYH pt 1, 2 & Young Forever etc. but they keep surprising me every time. I am not a k-pop fan seeing as I do not enjoy most of the songs from that industry but BTS are completely different seeing as they have artistic freedom, have a hand in producing and composing their own songs, are a hip-hop group that play with many genres and speak about important issues that relate to society. I would have never thought that I would enjoy listening to music in a language I do not understand but with BTS and this album I make an exception since they're just THAT good.

    This album just furthers the fact that BTS are incredibly versatile and are unafraid to attack different genres and do a tremendous job with them. Truly from start to finish it is a work of art and a masterpiece, one of the best albums of this year. 10 star rating for me.    … Expand

    Though, bts is surprisingly success- Fake Love is the best track for sure. But we can't deny that" Idol" makes this album worse. It has been overrated. I'm sorry

    This album it's an amazing body of work. it's different from any thing i've heard in my 22 years of life. i appreciate it so much really. the message and the production, on point. there are many generes, they've explored. i love this.

    This is BTS' best album so far. They've managed to explore every genre with perfection, going from an alternative pop/rock in their main track to a latino-inspired track with Airplane pt.2. They hit perfect notes with their amazing vocalists and their rappers are at finest.

    A good combination of pop and EDM with a great uncommon composition in Asian pop. Definitely Fake Love is the jewel of this album and of the current music.

    Most of it the same Generic pop like Airplane.

    This group just overhyped for no reason! They got Blood Sweat Tears & FIre was there bests I'm guessing it not getting any better. DNA and Mic Dop was boring and not memorable at all.

    'Magic Shop' appears in the middle as an analogy of the book of the same name, changing bad emotions into a mirage of happiness that    Definitely my favorite work of theirs since 'The Most Beautiful moment in life'/'Young Forever' era.     Very impressed, this entire album felt familiar but new at the same time. It's nice to see as a fan, BTS have retained their unique style while exploring new boundaries. It felt like a well rounded pop album with a large handful of favorites.

    This is a solid album. It's diverse in its genres/styles, and yet somehow there is a natural flow in the mood as you go from one song to the next. It's a departure from what they've done, yet you can tell that they've grown as artists and aren't afraid to try musical styles that they previously haven't attempted - all the while retaining their roots in rap/trap/hip-hop.     Tear is an extremely honest and delicate album, just like previous BTS albums they address partner issues, bring comfort to people with their songs. Another amazing thing is the variety of q styrils that have been used on the album, BTS as always never disappoints

It's so well produced and so well constructed you would think these guys been 10 years and going into the music industry but knowing they're all around their 20's and making such beautiful songs always shocks me to my core.

    With LY: Tear, BTS has spread their wings musically. This albums shows how diverse and versatile BTS are musically. Each songs melds beautifully onto the other. There are 11 tracks on this album and all 11 are masterfully sung.
    Probably the best full album they ever made, has a lot of artistic references and a great concept

    Its an album made to appeal to people of all backgrounds. They improve with each new realise and show a different side each time, the newest Tear is a blend of so many genres. From the soothing ballad to the title FAKE LOVE to soft Paradise and hype Anpaman, sexy Airplane 2 and breathtaking OUTRO. We can see the hard work the members have put into this project.     Thus album has a little something for everyone. There are very emotional as well as incredibly exciting moments. The rappers deliver immacurately and the vocals delivered some of their most expressive and touching work so far.

With a mix of RnB, hiphop, pop, latin pop and trap vibes this album gives something for everyone. The discussions about heartbreak and moving on, accepting the fate and learning to love yourself are all well-written, meanwhile the few more uplifting songs(or as the kids would call it 'bops') cheer the album up and give a few good club bangers inbetween. The quality in the production, melodies and lyrics is great, it is obvious that bts can work well both with foreign producers, but also produce a hit song only within their own producers, including the band members themselves.… Expand

    If you've never heard anything of BTS this is the best album to start with, it's so versatile and each song has its own genre, it's fascinating. If you want to check the 2nd best album of their I would suggest ''You never walk alone'' It's also one of their best.

It will probably appeal to their fanbase but there truly isn't anything on this album for anyone out of the craze, who were already seeing it as the album of the year before a single note had been ever heard. Both the vocalists and the rappers have their shining moments in this album, and although the album tends toI found myself pleasantly surprised as I sat through and listened to the album because each track has its own unique sound. Both the vocalists and the rappers have their shining moments in this album, and although the album tends to focus on the vocalists, their interplay with the rapping elements feels organic and not gratuitous (as is sometimes the case when rap is incorporated into K-pop songs). I encourage everybody to read the translated lyrics (easily accessible on Genius), which are beautifully written; I would go so far as to say that some of the lyrics are poetic. They evince a wide range of vulnerable sentiments, from poignancy to resignation to resilience to defiance. All in all, Love Yourself: Tear is a polished and cohesive album.… Expand

Even if devoid of melody, the lyrics easily could pass for a book of poetry or even a motivational self-help guide.

    Whereas the K-pop genre is often criticized as "manufactured" and "formulaic," BTS radiates authenticity in that their songs are emotive. Starting with their first album, members of BTS (in particular RM, Suga, and J-Hope) have contributed to the lyrics, composition, and producing of their songs. With each new album, their level of input increases, and BTS' self-professed goal is to introduce an album wholly written, composed, and produced by themselves. In Love Yourself: Tear, RM is credited on all 11 songs, Suga on 8, J-Hope on 7, and Jungkook on 1. Their input, particularly with respect to lyrics, redounds to this sense of authenticity.

    Certain artists have a recognizable signature "sound" in all or most of their songs (e.g., Coldplay, Chainsmokers, Mumford & Sons). Notably, BTS does not fall within that category. Their versatility and willingness to experiment is again on display in Love Yourself: Tear. The songs on this album offer a spectrum of genres - R&B, ballad, pop, EDM, Latin pop, trap, hip-hop and rap.     Данный альбом очень значим для меня. Он привнес многое в мою жизнь. Он стал началом, для меня, чего действительного нового. Это именно та опора, на которую я могу опереться, когда хочу сдаться. Обожаю этот альбом.

    I am always expect much from BTS albums. And every time they give me more than I expect. This album has so many different songs, in such a genres that is trully my style. All 11. From the very beginning to the "not "end" but the "and"". And, yeah, music has no languages. It just the direction in which we are looking to the world. Listen. Enjoy. Love.

    Жаль, что многие не послушав даже самый маленький кусочек песни, начинают "критиковать". Если вы ещё не послушали , то обязательно это сделайте. Песни достойны лучших похвал.

    This album is unique and universal. each song sounds new. and working together with Aoke is simply a discovery. texts as always at a high level. very deep and will find a response in everyone's heart. BTS songs help me cope with difficult times in life, for which I thank them.
    I recommend this album for listening and translating texts for reading. it's a new world, guys. completely different.
