It might have been great for it's time and inspired other albums, I don't thinknit holds up too well. Stairway To Heaven and When The Levee Breaksnare the only great songs. Rest of them range from okay to bellow average.

They sure sound like it. Rock n Roll and Black Dog are dumb, disposable fun but not much more. Levee is ok but is too long for what is a very repetitive song. Despite being overplayed Stairway is well put together. On balance this is merely an OK album but way overrated by critics and fanboys. Expand

A rock classic, not that shiny but still has some great songs. The latest reissue of the album spotlights its sonic depth, thanks to illuminative remastering by guitarist-producer Jimmy Page.

Was probably one of the greatest album of its time, but all songs are not that perfect. Battle of Evermore, Four Sticks and Misty Mountain are kinda average. Still a rock classic, but i don't think it still desearves the perfecr score.

Led Zeppelin IV and Houses Of The Holy feature the band at their peak, and these still hold up after decades of heavy rotation. [Dec 2014, p.90]

The 16 songs that comprise these two albums [Led Zeppelin IV and Houses Of The Holy] remaining blinding and deafening examples of strident, courageous music. [18 Oct 2014, p.54]
