The emotional depth of an infomercial, it would seem that Justin is sticking to lyrics he knows would probably cut it for Hallmark, but it fails to make any impact. A rushed body of work that produced the same excitement as a Johnny Come Early. It actually shocks me to know that many writers sat there, heard him sing the trash that was put on paper and told him to go out into the world. The emotional depth of an infomercial, it would seem that Justin is sticking to lyrics he knows would probably cut it for Hallmark, but it fails to make any impact. He involved solving injustice and MLK here yet the songs are about love and his wife. I mean, if you're going to put a narrative for clout, at least make it about it because this is just wrong and disgusting.

The problem with Justice is that Bieber thinks his music is more powerful than it actually is

I was very excited for this album. the single lead-ups were great: Holy, Lonely, Anyone, Hold On, Peaches. I thought this was going to be his best album. I thought this was going to be his best album. With the presentation of the album being about the current times and about Justice, I was not expecting what it ultimately was. The only notable non-single song on there was "Ghost", the others were basically saying the same thing about the same subject with some MLK speeches thrown in there that made no sense to the lyrics or songs of the album. If it had been presented differently, a song about his journey in love and finding hope, then it would be a different story. But the way the album was presented with the title, background story and the lead singles, I thought it was going to be a different album. I was looking forward to that album. Instead, it was really just a bunch of different love songs that get lost because they all have very similar words / meaning. Expand

Uninspired just like his last album ‘Changes.’ His themes supposed theme did not come through. You’d figure an album called ‘Justice’ would have songs that clearly portray the injustices in the world and how to heal, but sadly no.

I've been following Justin's music since 2010 and trust me, this is his worst album, so basic, I thought after changes he would do something better, but this is THE WORST ALBUM OF THE YEAR, hoping he consider retiring or maybe do a better record, 'cause he has to.

The upshot is that Justice is one of Bieber's steadiest releases, among the easiest to play from start to finish. The only overdone aspect is the low self-esteem and unworthiness the lyrics either suggest or flatly express in almost every song.

With 16 tracks in a wide variety of styles and moods, Bieber’s centerless sixth studio album is noisy and grab-baggy in a way that once was typical for him (and other major pop acts) yet now registers as shallow and unsatisfying.

His voice has a palatable smoothness; he’s mastered push-and-pull dynamics, and he swings effortlessly from a placid chest voice to a zephyr of a falsetto. That litheness and control are on full display across Justice. Even when the songwriting is spiritless and the production rote—and it occasionally is, as on the confessional “Unstable” and the saccharine “Deserve You”—he still sings the hell out of it.
