Good production and a good listen. Kanye seems happier now and i’m glad that this album reflects his new faith. Not the album I was expecting, but i like the use of gospel and the new kanye.

You don't have to be religious to enjoy what was a solid effort by West to express the new feelings of profound spirituality the man is now feeling. This feels completely different than what we've heard from him before because this is a new Kanye. This is him putting his faith into creating music that touches the soul, and there definitely are tracks that do so.

Not too familiar with Kanye's music, I was expecting this to be some kind of glossy Hillsong type of a record, but was surprised with how rich and eclectic the sound was. Granted, the album seems a little too short and some of songs end abruptly – like they were cut off by mistake. I really like the instrumentation and the choir, which unfortunately wasn't utilised to its full potential. Not too familiar with Kanye's music, I was expecting this to be some kind of glossy Hillsong type of a record, but was surprised with how rich and eclectic the sound was. Ye is fervent here like never before and you can feel he's coming straight from the heart so strong you cannot ignore it. --And I don't want to. Songs such as Closed on Sunday combine music with clever lyrics to create a true auditory experience.

Most of the songs in this album are ones you can really feel as you listen to it. Usually I only buy individual songs, rarely do I purchase an entire album. This is one of those rare circumstances where I bought the entire thing because it was just that good.

Some people have complained that this album does not have fully fleshed out theological ruminations. But that's not what it's meant to have. New and non-Christians can enjoy this and, besides, Ye is a new Christian himself. But tbh "Jesus loves me" is a very deep, commonly known song. Anyone who says otherwise has not explored the depth of that revelation. My point? You will get whatever depth you wish to from the album. But forgetting that weird critic on a metric that's inapplicable to the album, the music itself is well-made and certainly worth purchasing.

This album is getting a lot of hate, but its kind of fire. Great to good production throughout the album. The lyrics aren't anything too special but they are pretty decent. My only other problem is its way too short to be considered a full album.

As for Kanye, it feels like he actually has a purpose this time. The Life of Pablo captured his headspace as he was going through meltdown after meltdown, Ye captured his reaction to being hated by damn near everyone because of his political beliefs (and to be fair he should be critiqued for that) but now he’s sort of going back to his roots and then turning it up to 10. The collaborations are on point as well: Ant Clemons, Ty Dolla $ign, Clipse (reunited) and Kenny G. The track On God feats great producing by the super talented Pierre Bourne and a controversial “13th amendment gotta end” line which may be a problem for those that are not aware/educated on the subject. Nothing new in a Kanye project, who is marked with controversial statements and lines throughout his discography. The album is very good. It makes me want to go back and listen to it. I understand swifties wanting throw shade to it, but Kanye makes good music and that is a fact. God is, is one of the best songs of the album.

Compared to Kanye’s previous work, this would be a 3.5/10. But compared to the rest of the world this is a 7/10.

This is the most spiritually healthy, family-friendly, cool, upbeat, epic sounding album in kanye's entire canon.

It's actually very good despite what some are saying. I feel a lot of glory and confidence in this album, unlike ye (his last album) and I think it could be a masterpiece

This is Kanye album. It’s an experience that ruffles feathers and shifts the paradigm. That’s why we all come to experience Kanye art. The people rating it down are Supreme dorks who’ve never appreciated the nuisances Kanye puts in his projects, but just that it sounds cool. I stand by this album fully.

Loved "follow god" and "selah" the most.

Despite the obvious mixing and mastering flaws on this album, possibly from the frantic rush trying to get this album finished by his deadline. I'd say the overall music on this album is great.

Incrível, emocionante e que nos toca de uma forma única. Do começo ao fim nos surpreende e emociona. Atenção pra faixa "Selah" que sem dúvidas é o destaque do disco.

This album is pretty solid overall. The songs on this album are pretty short which makes it feel more like a demo tape or mixtape. It's a very well-produced album. The weakest part about the album is the lyrics. some of the bars are awful and very corny. Even though the album has many moments with corny lines it is still a great listen.

The highlight songs on the albums are Selah

His reunion with frequent collaborators belies a rich history of discovering and championing new voices. This ostensible distance from which Kanye preaches reveals King’s true tension: Kanye, like Kendrick on DAMN., is asking for our prayers, while also distancing himself from our hands and our mouths. And it doesn’t work. ... He has artistically lost track of his audience and himself in its midst.

He’s hung up on Jesus rather than pneumatic women. It’s hard to tell if that’s an improvement, but it doesn’t seem like a regression either. ... An album with zero fat, dense in at least three senses, two of them positive. [Dec 2019, p.60]

As with every Kanye album, there’s some magnificent production on a majority of “Jesus Is King” courtesy of Pi’erre Bourne, Timbaland and Boogz, among others. ... Kanye just seems like he’s in his own world; disregarding what’s going on around him. Other times, Ye’s writing delves into eyerolling contradictions and ego-driven intentions.
