    OK I don't understand why so many people hate Cardi's music anyway. I think this album is fine. Cardi's music is fine. I listen to her songs whenever I workout at the gym and it's good. I like the production and Cardi's rapping style. I think it's good. My favorites on this album are "Ring", "I Like It", "I Do", and "Bodak Yellow"

    As a music lover, I was very disappointed with this project. I respect her for trying, but this was just not it. The lack of lyricism and flow, listening to this is almost unbearable. Her use of the n-word as a non black person is...disgraceful...to say the least. Her not even writing these songs also made what is supposed to be her body of work less enjoyable to me. This debut album wasAs a music lover, I was very disappointed with this project. I respect her for trying, but this was just not it. The lack of lyricism and flow, listening to this is almost unbearable. Her use of the n-word as a non black person is...disgraceful...to say the least. Her not even writing these songs also made what is supposed to be her body of work less enjoyable to me. This debut album was supposed to show off her artistry and talent as a rapper, however it just failed to do so. I expected so much more and I seem to not be the only one who agrees. This just did not live up to the expectations.
    Although I did find myself enjoying many of the beats on this album, and I consider that to be the one of the album's strong-suits. On songs such as "I Like It" , "Bartier Cardi", and "Money" I was completely enthralled with the beat and production. However, these tend to be overshadowed by the lack of bars and repetitive lyrics. I found it hard to be able to fully enjoy these songs with the deplorable lyrics. Some artists can get away with having not so in-depth or influential lyrics, but when it comes to rap artists, having great flows and bars is the name of the game. I feel as if many of her fans are blinded by Cardi's fun personality, and can't really see through the cracks. Cardi just simply falls short in the lyricism department, and that's surprising coming from the fact that she has dozens of writers (including ghost-writers) for her songs, which is something else her fans are blind sighted to. I don't even have the energy to start talking about some of the other things her fans choose not to see, such as the homophobic, transphobic, and racist comments she's made recently. But this is a review for her album, not for her character.
    So final thoughts: Could've been so much better. Lyricism is this albums downfall, which is a huge no-no for rap albums. Great production on some of the songs, but many missed opportunities to make this a true work of art.
    I'd like to see her try again though, maybe writing her own raps and not only making songs just for money and chart placements. :)    … Expand

    This is such a solid debut female rap album. This album shows Cardi as unfiltered and raw, but also soft and personal. I also like the diversity of the tracks because of this album’s use of rap, trap, r&b, soul, and latin trap music. This album is very strong and it deserves all the critical acclaim it is getting.

    Every song and verse feels the same. At least with the reggaeton song (I Like It) and the pop attempts (Be Careful, Ring) the album feels like it isn't one really long song.

    This album repeats the same trap-rap sound that is heard constantly, with the exceptions for a few songs on the album. The lyrics don’t have any significant meaning, whether she wrote them or not is debatable. The cover art is exceptional. She has room for massive improvement, specifically regarding her flow and word choice.

    This would have been a good album if it was born from Cardi’s creative process. It seems all so artificial and created by others and not by the rapper herself. It just looks very fake and constructed. Oh and it would have been also cool if Cardi rapped instead of spitting all over the place.

The thing that boggles me is that people have seriously considered this album to be "the greatest hip hop album of time". As if To pimp a Butterfly, The Marshall Mathers LP, Care for Me, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, Scum F*ck Flower Boy,. and Channel Orange don't exist. Her effort,This album is a hot mess.     Cardi B is a good rapper, however the productions and compositions are not on a rapper level. You listen to the first song on the album, and you do not realize that the music is changed because it's the same thing and the album is totally lost. Some songs that save, but I was disappointed about that! May the next album evolve greatly.

    El álbum empieza con un rap duro y directo, que no deja a nadie indiferente,cardi empieza contando su historia de superación y como dejo a todas las perras en el camino, lo único malo de esta es que en un momento se vuelve muy repetitivo pero de ahí todo bien. Bickenhead me parece la peor canción por muchas razones que no daré. bodak yellow es una obra maestra del rap, con una letra fuerte sin volverse ordinaria. be careful no fue escrita por cardi ¿como dices que tengan cuidado contigo si tu ni siquiera escribes la canción donde lo dices?.Best life es de las mejores del album pero ¿cardi no se arrepiente de nada? ni de la violencia que ejerció? mmmm. i like it te deja sin palabras, solo una divertida y bizarra colaboracion que no te deja ningun mensaje,ring cambia el sentido del album haciendolo aun mas confuso ¿que mensaje nos quiere dejar cardi? solo le doy 7 puntos porque no hay un mensaje claro y muchas veces se abusa de auto tune, pero letras y la producción audiovisual es perfecto.… Expand

    One of the bests rap album of this century, the fact that she didn't write the songs is a fact that you forget hearing this album, the production and everything else just make you bop and forget about it, she's Cardi B, she's powerful, she's talented and the fact she isn't coming to play is killing people out there.

    This album was lack luster. Cardi could barely stand on her own on most track and needed features, and other samples to carry this album. She also had a large team of writers that takes away from the artistry of rap. This isn't pop or r&b, writing matters. Bodak Yellow carried the album.

    A very strong album, however, there are many lapses. The album features many songs which could have been further promoted and end up taking away from the album rather than adding to it. Features could have been used to more extent, and the lyrics on some of the songs seem somewhat purposeless. The beats are very similar on each track, and this takes away from the album as a whole.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. speaking honestly is a good album, with many points to positive but also many others in negatives, we could find excellent topics like "Drip, Thru your Phone, She sad, and the well known Bodak Yellow" which in my opinion are the best songs that we can find in this album based on lyrics and quality, and against we can find unusual items without sense as it is "Ring, I like it, Best LIfe, and Money Bag" which are not so good songs because the rhythm can fail at the time of listening to the song and making the words unreachable or absurd

    Cardi B's Invasion of Privacy is her debut album. While stellar in sales and streams, the album proves that Cardi B is not a very talented rapper. One, most of her songs have basic bars and lyrics. Two, most of these lyrics were not written by her. Three, the songs were not that well collated. The album had songs of a huge variety of feeling to the listener and when one listens to theCardi B's Invasion of Privacy is her debut album. While stellar in sales and streams, the album proves that Cardi B is not a very talented rapper. One, most of her songs have basic bars and lyrics. Two, most of these lyrics were not written by her. Three, the songs were not that well collated. The album had songs of a huge variety of feeling to the listener and when one listens to the album in one go, the experience might not be nice for people who do not appreciate messy collation. The album does have, however, many catchy songs and 'bops'. These songs were produced well and the instrumentals of the album were good but again, the lyrics when examined are not advanced and show little skill. The album also features mediocre artists which is not a good thing especially since some of her competitors feature the elite of rap in their albums. As such, I give her album a 3 out of 10. Should she improve her writing, I would definitely give her next album a better score.… Expand

    The praise this album is receiving is confusing to be, to be a true rapper you have to write your own raps. Taking into consideration Cardi has not written any of the raps on the album it is incredibly poor. Hype has won over talent in the case of this album. I very much doubt Cardi will have any kind of longevity.

    I like both Nicki and Cardi but this album is way better than Nicki’s. Nicki needs to try again, Queen is a no.
