A hugely consistent album, Kevin is pouring his entire soul into this while talking about everything between the band and his personal life. Production is insane, with some amazing samples. Gold Teeth’s beat is crazy.

This album emotionally, lyrically, candidly… it’s the curtain call. One listen in and I’m really blown away by Kevin’s self awareness and ability to work through his complicated feelings about his band, band mates, and the fans that influenced those relationships into compelling and infectious music.

Life is complicated and it’s never felt so obvious than in 35 minutes of music. Kevin

Life is complicated and it’s never felt so obvious than in 35 minutes of music. Kevin recognizes the fans that made this possible, but at the end of the day, it’s for him and it shows here. Can’t name a track it feels like one big song. But the band titled track really says it all. Things don’t happen to way you want them to all the time, but you can make the most out of it anyway.

And for the fans, we can understand more than anyone during this journey. Love this band.

i do enjoy this album and i feel like it’s a good finale for the band. it reminds me of a good series finale for a good tv show, u can’t help but to enjoy it but you’re always thinking this is it for them.

The record has a calculated fishbowl quality, chronicling the group’s rise and accelerated decline through the lens of a mercurial Svengali. It’s a victory lap with a slightly bitter aftertaste, like champagne left uncorked in a trashed hotel suite.

The Family is a brutally honest high-point to cap an amazing body of work.

The 17-track record is as hyperactive, heartfelt and honest as we’ve come to expect from the group.
