One of her best pieces of work, truly great lyricism and a piece of art. I would say that it’s the damn season is one of her best tracks, I just love everything about this album

This album I consider to be one of her best written, the lyrics, the melody, the production is all so beautiful and works so well together. This to me is one of Taylor Swifts most impressive albums. Even in 2023 I’m still listening to this game changing album.

I’ve never thought I would love this album. However, it turned out to be a masterpiece. The vibe of the album is so enchanting. The lyrics of each and every song are so cinematic. “champagne problems”, “tolerate it” , “long story short” and “willow”. are the best tracks in the album.

Easily one of her lyrically strongest albums.
for those of you saying the LYRICS are bad (you live under a rock- you should listen to some of the other indie music lyrics and compare them to this album's.), here are some of the best lyrics from this album in my opinion:

    - "one for the money, two for the show, I never was ready so I watch you go"
    - "I can't stop you putting roots in my dreamland"

    - "I made you my temple, my mural my sky; now I'm begging for footnotes in the story of your life"
    - "and I was catching my breath, staring out an open window, catching my death"

Yes, it does have a similar concept, mood, and sound to folklore- but most artists stay in the same/similar genre throughout their entire career. So why can't Taylor? She's pleased us with many genre/style changes and she did it well every single time, and 'folklore' was met with much more than toleration from her fans and critics even after a huge shift in music style- just another reason to stay in this genre. This album being similar to folklore is a very bad reason to say it's trash. Some critics even said it was an upgrade from folklore, which not everyone may agree with and that's fine. But just understand that it's definitely not a horrible album, unlike what some people say.

Do I even need to get into the instrumentals? My favorite was 'tis the d*mn season'.

One of her most boring albums along with the rest of her discography, mainly for non colored peopled and just overall BORING. She dated so many men including little boys and makes so much vinyls and cds AND albums, she is one of the most desperate woman i have ever seen. TRASH, BORING, AND LAZY.

is as extraordinarily good as its 'folklore' sister, in a different way, a more mature album (so to speak), it explores themes related to to be or not to be, to go and to stay, to love and to hate. it's extremely well written and well produced, it doesn't disappoint on any track (just like folklore lol)

I would say that it is beautiful work BUT it is really something I have heard and that's bothering me so much. I think this album unaccomplished simply because of its sound. Story arcs such as "tis the damn season", and "dorothea", and songs that are stories on their own such as "coney island" give this album a life of its own, instead of just being another folklore. “evermore” is a great album. Whilst being overshadowed by its “sister” album “folklore” it adds back to her country roots in some ways. This is evident in songs like “no body no crime”, “dorothea” and “cowboy like me”. Personally, I prefer this more than “folklore”. My favourites are “ivy”, “right where you left me”, and “long story short.

Swift touches on so much more – nuanced acts of forgiveness, complex personal histories, the ability to visualize and know how a person can look in different shades of light. No doubt Swift is still the master of writing a spiteful kiss-off, but the songs of Evermore are a welcomed step in a more mature direction.

Taylor Swift refined her talent of transporting her listener to the places of her songs and wove in immaculate wordplay and the old familiar warmth we know all too well from its sister album "folklore"

Bloated prose and melodramatic theatrics. Very disappointing overall. I do like the understated cover though.

Have my feeling healed, my emotions soothed more than a year since it was released. I personally think Evermore is better than Folklore even though I like both of them So Much. Especially #CowboyLikeMe madly intrigued me ever since I have first listened to it, the rhythm, melody, transition, instrumental won't never get tired of this.

I like champagne problems, but most of these just feel like folklore rejects.

In all aspects has Swift built upon her work on «folklore», creating a vast soundscape of poetical stories, and it is only at the end of this album you realise that «folklore» did leave you wanting. «evermore» also does this, not because it doesn’t reach up to the pedestal of its predecessor – in contrast, it covers the more complex ground. Swift's lyric-writing abilities feel leveled-up on this album. Similarly, the musical risks on it are bigger, both in scope and in pay off. «evermore» is even better than «folklore», thanks to greater sonic cohesion and stronger songwriting. Freedom from expectations has, both with this album and its predecessor, led to Swift's leaps giving new heights to her already-pretty-skyscraping career. Expand

How can she make so many songs in such a short time? She's such a queen and THE ONLY QUEEN.

It is without question a wintering record, but out of this muted musical landscape songs of great and complex beauty emerge. [Mar 2021, p.34]

Even though we get a catchy moment of goofy, snarling country midway through, the album is a result of the emotional clarity that a year in quarantine provided. Swift has written about curdling relationships splendidly in the past, but there's a new dimension to her writing that wasn’t there before. Onward.

The pandemic seems to have freed her, given her the space to breathe, and has allowed her to produce her most elegant and sophisticated work to date.
