Evermore is a delight to listen to. It sounds like Folklore, but it feels way, way better. Taylor Swift at her best.

However, the slow burn reveals Swift’s most haunting album yet - a deeper dive lyrically and spiritually, a more indie and overcast venture than folklore was, and a masterpiece in beautiful melancholy and aching nostalgia. The record contains some of Swift’s greatest songs to date - a culmination of her famous ability to make piercing emotions into stunning art: “champagne problems”, “gold rush,” “‘tis the damn season,” “happiness,” “ivy,” and “evermore.” If folklore was a walk through the folksy woodsiness of Red, evermore is a stroll through both Red and Speak Now’s hushed, cloudy-day ballads (see “Sad Beautiful Tragic” and “Last Kiss”) enriched by Swift’s maturity and musical experimentation. Even more magical than Folklore. Absolutely stunning album, Swift should definitely stay away from Pop sound and stick to this for quite longer.

Probably her best album to date. Even better than"folklore". Coming for the Grammys.

This album tastefully ventures further into the indie-pop-folk hybrid Taylor has created. The lyricism and instrumentals seem to be even further developed than Folklore, one could argue. Although Folklore seems to be more sonically cohesive, Evermore is the perfect sister album and dissects some very complex topics into digestible art.

Folklore's litte siste proves to be everything and more. Not what we expected, not just what we needed for this holiday season and for the years to come, it proves to be a body of work of an artist who knows she's a legend and that this right right is going to become eternal, and a folklore for evermore.

An upbeat successor to folklore that tells tales of murder and divorce, revenge and forgiveness. A favorite of mine is definitely No Body No Crime, featuring Grammy-nominated HAIM.

Evermore is indeed a sister to folklore, but one with it's own personality ans greatness. With this album Taylor Swift proves, once more, that she is a prolific lyricist and keeps putting out works of great quality. May she continue doing so.

Even though we get a catchy moment of goofy, snarling country midway through, the album is a result of the emotional clarity that a year in quarantine provided. Swift has written about curdling relationships splendidly in the past, but there's a new dimension to her writing that wasn’t there before. Onward.

The pandemic seems to have freed her, given her the space to breathe, and has allowed her to produce her most elegant and sophisticated work to date.
