The last time Ariana Grande tried to do something really good, I hope she finds herself growing up as an artist. she has potential

Not good enough, seems like the half of Dangerous Woman it's an infill, but she show us that she can have variety of styles like R&B, etc. But there's a variable, she needs to explode more about musical styles, she's encased into the pop metallic structure.

So, at the beginning of the album, I had really high hopes. Ariana’s previous albums have been on point with only 1 or 2 songs that sometimes had to be skipped, with this one however, I think there’s only a few select songs that are actually only worth listening to. I believe this album became a lot more messier than what it had to be. What with the name change of the album, and then the ordering of the singles. It all just seems a bit rushed.

I believe the tracklisting, also, was purposefully put in that order to entice the audience into the album for the whole duration. The first half the album is banger after banger, yet, the more you delve into it, the less ‘dangerous’ it gets. It’s literally an anti-climatic album, and just as you’re about to fall into a deep sleep by the end of the album, ‘Focus’ is there to remind you that your sleeping session has now ended and you can resume back to normal.

There are some amazing songs on this album, some of her best in her career, but unfortunately they’re rounded off but the majority of her worst. I’m sure, in time, a few of the songs will have gotten used to, but until then, it pains me to say, this is Ariana’s worst album. As a whole, it isn’t a bad album, whatsoever, but compared to the last 2, this is the 3rd best.

The album comes off a little disappointing compared to her previous efforts. 'Yours Truly' was a masterpiece for newcomer standards, 'My Everything' lived up to the hype too. So, hopes were high for her post sophomore LP.
Well, Ariana worshipers will love it no matter what but for others, Moonlight, Into You and Touch It are the best picks.

Yes, she does a have an excellent voice and she also showcases her talent on this album. The problem is there are few addictive hooks on this album compared to her previous one. Dangerous Woman is a traditional pop vocal album. Ariana tries to explore more genres and styles on rock beats on ''Everyday'', or the R&B ''Leave me Lonely'', but it never goes out of the pop thing. I don't say it is a terrible album, but unlike My Everything, this era is full of clichés and confusing things.

It starts with Moonlight that showcases what Grande should be, it lives up within its 5 or 6 first tracks, then it flies lower and finally terribly hits the ground.

Despite some amazing songs the album overall is a very mixed bag that ends up feeling very average with a large chunk of the album being very forgettable. Favourites on the album include Into You, Touch It and Thinking Bout You

Expand

Dangerous Woman features some great vocals and nice features. It's also a pop album; feels bland, safe and commercial, coming off preachy even at times.

A great break away from the over produced and generic my everything and debut. But still underwhelming.

Not my favorite Ariana Grande's album. I don't really like most of the songs. Because they sound like any other pop radio hits (Side to side. Everyday, Greedy etc.). But there are also light parts. Songs like Knew better, Jason's song, I don't care are perfect.

She appears to be in the right place creatively, but she just needs to take her own advice and break free.

These songs [“Greedy,” “Into You” and “Touch It”], which unite a strong persona--haughty, insatiable, a little manic, really into you--with a vivid pocket version of one style or another, are the core of a swift, heedless pop album, albeit one struggling to emerge from the false notes (“Dangerous Woman”) and rote 2016 obligations (Future) of what’s probably an executive-mandated bagginess.

The pop star is putting out fine records, but it’s hard to escape the feeling that her ludicrous potential remains unfulfilled.
