Demi’s been through so many hardships throughout her whole life, and she’s finally content with where she’s at in her current life, obsessing over squirrels, aliens, and mexican pizzas now. She never got a chance to breathe and live in the current moment because she was too busy trying to pursue being perfect. This album showcases herWithout a doubt, this is the best comeback album ever. In ‘Anyone’ we can see her asking for help to her friends & family, telling that anyone is listening and she is tired of singing & praying; by that, we can observe a lyric paralel to her 2017 hit ‘Sober’, which she tells she is not sober anymore! Following the prelude, we go to ‘Dancing With The Devil’, the song represents, as shown on the newly released music video, Demi’s 2018 heroine overdose, that she was violated, drugged & almost died on a hospital bed, almost going to heaven, ‘closer than you know’, by that, we can see that ‘ICU’ is the continuation of her hospital story & the moment she had with her sister there, ‘Maddison’s Lullaby’! So after that, we observe that ‘Intro’ is the introduction or her new life, her rebirth, the starting over (as the next song, ‘The Art Of Starting Over’)!     The best work ever. Being able to go through everything she went through and come out of it alive and start a brand new life is amazing. But being capable of creating a work of art to tell her story with songs that are lyrically meaningful and raw is out of this world. Hands down her best album.

    The opening three tracks are almost an EP in their own right, before a quick reset. Semi title track ‘The Art Of Starting Over’ begins anew, a straight forward bop that gets to the root of Demi’s recovery – her natural talent, her ear for pop magic, affording room for personal renewal.
