The Golf Club 2019 is a very good golf game, which shines in particular by its game system that is both realistic and rewarding. It does not hustle the codes, but offers an infinite renewal, thanks to its system of procedural generation in addition to the official courses of the PGA Tour. The loading times also benefit from a particular optimization and are non-existent during play, which favors concentration.
The title’s gameplay is more than just a band-aid. It's fulfilling in its own way – one which is as temperamental as the sport itself – and it’s the fundamental piece of a title whose benefits are more subtle than overt.
This is the best golf game around. The people who give it low ratings did not take the time to properly learn the controls of the game and just whine that its too hard. The controls arent even that difficult if you're willing to put more than 10 minutes into it and do the tutorials.
It gets everything right. Visuals are great, load time is non-existent, narrator has a soothing vibe in his voice to calm you down if and when your shot sails right over the hole. The difficulty is unique in that it is quite accessible for a complete newbie to golf like myself while also retaining a ton of room to fine tune your performance once you learn more about the sport. All in all a fantastic entry in golf games.
The Golf Club 2019 isn’t a perfect game, as it has it’s issues here and there, but it’s fun once you have the hang of the gameplay, especially when you play with friends. With 2K now producing the game series, it has great potential to become even better over the coming years,. Hopefully we’ll see some updates on the game’s visual issues, a slightly easier gameplay this game will be more inviting to everyone.
The fundamental golf experience is still aptly covered in The Golf Club 2019. The new courses and licensing give the game an authenticity welcome to the series. Veterans might want more from the core elements as physics, swing mechanics and the tools at your disposal remain too similar to previous titles. That said, the new career mode and character customisation might be enough to keep players coming back. Newcomers will probably find this a more acceptable starting point as the series starts to take on a more complete shape.
The Golf Club 2019 featuring PGA Tour is far from what the official series was delivering when it was between the hands of EA. Today, it feels more like an indie game with a very limited budget that has an official sticker on its box.
I feel compelled to write something about this game because it hasn't gotten much exposure and it is actually a fantastic game. I have never really liked the series before but this one feels like a legitimate PGA tour game. The graphics and performance of the game are great (xbox one x) which I was worried about given the previous games. I feel like the gameplay is much improved as well. In the prior games I felt like it was very difficult to gauge shots, (especially putting) but this one feels perfect and fair. My only gripe with the game is the commentary which is fine but it would be nice to have the guys from PGA broadcasts calling the shots. This feels like a natural evolution of the Tiger Woods series and that was exactly what I have been waiting for.
The gameplay is awesome in my opinion. I also love the created courses and most other features. If you are like me, you play games to progress and keep track of records. This is a major area this game falls flat. Head to head mode is a huge addition to this years game and it just cant do the simple things right. Win three games and it may give you one win and four losses. Very frustrating.
This is honestly the only downside of this game.
This game lacks SO many features that make a fun golf game.
the swing mechanic is so boring and easy, its just not fun. misses the extra interactivity other games have that involve you through out the shot.
lack of courses, brand names, and pro characters in the game make this game feel vacant.
on top of **** can not escape how lack luster this game is when you are constantly reminded by the SUPER bad swing they mocapped for the animation. it looks so **** the nail in the coffin for the game for me.
i SO wish i bought a hard copy so i could at least trade it in for something better. unfortunately i bought a digital code.
final note...this game would be good at $15-20, but at $50, i would say, spend your money elsewhere. this game is just not fun.
I'm extremely miffed. I just bought the game which was a waste of $66.99CAD. I started character creation and when I got to the clothing section, guess what? There's maybe one of each item you can actually choose from and you actually have to buy everything else. I didn't think of looking if you actually begin with cash, but seriously? Even if you get cash from tournaments, extremely inconvenient for players who aren't that good at these games (like myself). Why couldn't they at least give a decent choice of apparel and perhaps MAYBE add exclusive items in the shop? I was extremely disappointed and wish I could get a full refund. I wish I didn't have to give such a negative review especially because Golf is my all-time favorite sport. A game where the majority of character creation is hidden behind a paywall should not exist. I'd hate to see what else is hidden behind a paywall. I honestly would not recommend this game.
SummaryDo you have what it takes to win the FedExCup on the PGA Tour? Compete in the all-new officially licensed PGA Tour Career mode. Play on famous courses like TPC Boston, TPC Sawgrass and more.
