While the majority of Wii Fit U isn't as "hardcore" as some fitness buffs may like, it does provide an enormously friendly, approachable entry point into the world of exercise for those who may have struggled with motivation in the past. Featuring a swathe of enjoyable games and a wealth of helpful advice, it's a great starting point on a journey towards a leaner, meaner you.
A classy, thoughtful update that packages the best of the previous Wii Fit games with some ace new mini-games. A genuinely fun flab-shifter. [Jan 2014, p.84]
Another good choice for exercising gameplay, with improved graphics and more new activities, this can be fun and addicting, like I used to play this on. However, the absence of some Plus activities, like Segway Circuit and Basic Run Plus may upset some people. However, the addition of a fit meter is good for those who can get out to exercise and have fun challenges, although buggy. The fun with the gamepad, such as Orienteering and Hosedown can bring a smile to anyone's face, even if they don't want to exercise! Overall, this game brings some old ones out and new ones in. It's just as good as wii fit plus.
While the exercises it offers still aren't intensive enough to replace traditional exercise, it’s nevertheless an entertaining way for players of all fitness levels and ages to be more active and conscious of the importance of keeping fit.
Meanwhile Wii Fit U's mini-games are fun, but still suffer from being single-player/non-simultaneous multiplayer and there just isn't that much new stuff.
This game is great. I got it a month ago, and since then i use it almost daily. The new minigames are fun, the body test is great, and i like how Wuhu Island Changes seasons in function of what day it is. This game is great, but i think it shouldn't be used as a real way to get fit. But the game is really fun.
I've always liked the Wii Fit Series, but this is my favorite. I'm never sure how to do certain exercises, and Wii Fit helps me make sure I'm doing them right. Body Breakdown is also nice because it allows you to make sure that you only do exercises related to the part of your body you want to, if you want to do that. The new exercises are pretty cool, like Core Luge, and the graphics in these games are pretty great. Overall, a great recommendation to those who have a Wii U and would like to get more exercise.

Wii Fit U is similar to the Wii version but adds some exercises, dance routines, and games among other features such as gym communities. The coolest new feature is the pedometer that tracks steps and calories burned. If you enjoyed the original then you will enjoy the Wii U version especially if you take advantage of the promotion that gives the game free with a $20 pedometer purchase. My score is only hindered because I expected more updates than what was included in the game (yoga and exercises in particular), otherwise it is a "game" worth owning.
Since downloading this software a month ago I have been calling it Wii Fit because essentially it is Wii Fit Plus and a few new games and features. I had hoped for a complete remodeling of the Wii Fit concept, so what I got was disappointing. I would have preferred Nintendo take another year and then release something a lot more innovative. The good thing about Wii Fit U is the price. Since I already had a balance board all I had to pay for was the Fit Meter(a pedometer which tracks altitude as well as movement). So the new software and the meter only cost me about $25.
Others have criticized Wii Fit for not offering enough challenge. This is still true. Wii Fit U doesn't offer much to challenge you, or to help burn calories quickly. I am using it as a hub to upload and track my calorie totals using the Fit meter. I can see how many calories I have burned over the past few days, and track my BMI for the purpose of hitting goals. That is about the extent of my use of the new stuff. The new features aside from the new games Wii Fit U offers are not much of a draw for me. I'm not using the gym feature. I am using the Fit meter goals, but they are quite lame, and I think I probably won't make use of those in the future.
This software is very disappointing to me even with the price offered to owners of a balance board.
SummaryWii Fit U is a new installment in the Wii Fit series that combines fun and fitness with new exercises and activities, and incorporates the GamePad in unique ways.
