The romance is decadent, the horror is seriously scary, it’s a richly immersive atmosphere and a fun tribute to classic anime, so what’s not to love about Little Goody Two Shoes? If you enjoy narrative games and have the nerve to overcome the fear, this is one to check out. Astral Shift is a wickedly creative group, and they’ve put a ton of love into this game. So, light the lantern and venture out into the dark.
In a landscape utterly crawling with horror games that hide beneath a cute aesthetic, Little Goody Two Shoes sets itself apart from it's competition by binding charming romance simulation elements, a resource-management system, and heart-stopping horror into a satisfying tome that you'll want to keep in a nice spot on your shelf."

Little Goody Two Shoes is the correct execution of several styles: dating sim, graphic adventure, role-playing game, and much more. Best of all, it is a manageable experience. It has challenges, narrative, and much replayability. It is a clear example that an unrealistic investment is unnecessary for a video game to be outstanding. Its impeccable visual presentation and character design will have you stepping into Elise's shoes to discover what kind of endings are in store for her.
I had no idea what to expect after my first 10 minutes or so with Little Goody Two Shoes. A slick, '90s-style anime opening leads into what seems like a cutesy adventure game about a snotty kid living in the forest. Then it turns into a deduction game, a management sim, and a social game, with bits of horror and some retro-style arcade games sprinkled in for good measure. It sounds like a lot on paper, but one of Little Goody Two Shoes’ most impressive achievements is how well it manages to balance its moving parts.
I’ll be entirely honest here: Little Goody Two Shoes’ striking art style alone could sell the game. The ’90s anime stylings are superbly recreated here, feeling like a fever dream of an anime VHS tape you watched way back when. The four main maidens of this tale are well-spun and memorable, and even the more minor side characters all have their points of interest, helping tie together the short but sweet adventure all the better.
Overall, Little Goody Two Shoes is a lot of fun, but may not be what you’re looking for if you’re on the hunt for a more traditional horror experience lending more to a slow-burn style of game with a lot of different elements tossed into the mix, from resource management to quests, and mini-games. It's a little unfocused, and while that works for its unique visual stylings, I found myself wishing for more horror than the constant diversions it offered.
I'm not one to go for Anime style games in most cases, but the store page caught my eye.
The visuals of this game are breathtaking, every line of dialogue, every character, every ui is crafted with so much care it's astounding.
Even the SAVE MENUS look like they're out of a storybook.
There are cutscenes in this game that, if you had told me they're from a movie, I would have believed you. Even before you start playing the game, you're experiencing beauty.
Totally fond of his universe, caracters, OST, design and narration themes !
Not perfect, but such a great, great experience, I could not stop and still thinking about, hours and hours after.
Long time I hadn't such a good vibe as a gamer.
This is one of the most beautiful displays of so much love and care being put into a project. Everything Little Goody Two Shoes tries to do from the gorgeous art to the beautiful story, the stellar soundtrack and the challenging but fun gameplay, it succeeded with flying colors. I would absolutely recommend this game to anyone who's interested, it's a game that will stick with you for a long time.

Eagerly waiting for more from this studio
Yet, I can’t stop playing it!
This is the game that I have been waiting for since the demo only because of character design. I would like to say first that I never played Pocket Mirror before. I saw this game is similar to Catherine (Altus, 2013) where they have a romantic section and then a puzzle with spooky elements tied up in a calendar system.
I love all the media and presentations in this game. 90's Shojo Anime, The Fusion Between Pixel and Drawing, Nice and Simple Fairy Stories, Wonderful Characters, Cute Romantics Section. The problem is only the puzzle phase that deserves some rework and QoL.
Firstly, Their save points are so backtracking in this game. I need to view the story section again (even if it can fast forward) when I die. Fast travel also should included in the overworld. Secondly, Some puzzles are kinda confused since puzzles aren't obvious mechanics like Catherine's. I try so hard to think how to play it correctly but end up just running through the puzzle so that it takes as much damage as I can. This method is used in half of the game. Finally, I think some puzzles are not necessary. It is just a filler and I feel they just add it for the sake of dragging, which make games have more backtracking issue. On the other hand, some puzzles are able to be stretched more.
I think this game should have an assisted mode similar to Catherine Full Body treatment. It should have more levels of difficulty to make more players enjoy with, maybe more save points, more hearts, or more hints. (This game really deserves more gameplay treatment since anything else is really lovely.)
If the puzzle part is not included, I can easily give it a 9. Unfortunately, After I play it by myself, I give it between 5-6. My brain gives it 5 but my heart goes to 6 because of how well arts and music fit together like shoes. To be honest, I enjoy watching some streamers more than playing it by myself. However, if you are a fan of this type of game (e.g. Pocket Mirror), you can ignore my score and just play it.
