    this album is amazing ‼️ freak, eat me, 4ever 4me, help me, dead friends, feed, wasted, Holy Fvck , city of angels , come together , 29 , happy ending , skin of my teeth, substance, are my favorite songs and mind u its a 16 track album and I didn't list 2 songs bones and heaven which are growing fast on me btw this album is just too fvcking relatable.

    A great album,it had depth and good music but well you expect that from Demi.

    As a fan of Demi I'm really proud of this project. They went back to their roots by getting back to pop-rock music and I think it really suits their incredible voice. Besides, the album features both uptempo songs and "ballads", which is something I appreciate. Finally, it wouldn't be a Demi Lovato's album without their amazing vocals!

    this very much well anticipated rock album of Demi's is superb! I know their fans have been waiting on Demi's return to the genre and I can safely say that Demi did a phenomenal job in connecting with her pop/rock roots. Very blessed to have been given the chance to hear this album. Very proud of Demi.

    created an account to review this album. what can I say, a modern classic and masterpiece. tracks where Demi collaborates with other artists shine the brightest, but such a cohesive album with truthful deep cuts, and oh yeah. VOCALS!!! Demi suits rock music so much, and I can only wish people appreciated this more.

    freak: apesar do yungblud ter cagado e andado pra música, demi cantou ela sozinha no palco e na vevo com maestria, me pergunto se a demo vazada na qual só tem ela n teria sido melhor.
    skin of my teeth: um hino que retrata como é viver com o vício usando a metáfora de estar se afogando, e relembra que o problema não é o viciado e sim o vício.
    substance: se você achou que era sobre droga, você está totalmente errado, e demi colocou esse título bem por isso, se trata mais sobre os dias cinzas que vivemos em busca do algo a mais, a tal 'substance'.
    eat me: FO-DA simplesmente foda, é a resposta pra quem prefere a demi da era TMYLM e confident, SUPEREM, como já foi dito infinitas vezes, ela se vestia assim pq era obrigada e ela usava o cabelo p cobrir as inseguranças, agora vão ter que aceitar ela pelo que ela quer ser.
    holy fvck: a title track divide os fãs entre amo muito e odeio muito, se trata de uma canção que fala explicitamente sobre sexualidade, eu particularmente amo, principalmente a parte que diz 'im an angel im a demon just depends of what youre feeling'.
    29: ela tira tudo que tá entalado, a letra é sobre um relacionamento com age-gap no qual um dos dois geralmente é adolescente ou young adult, e que hoje ela tendo a idade que o 'ex-parceiro' tinha ela percebe o quão errado era, e que se relacionar com uma pessoa da idade que ela tinha NUNCA passaria pela cabeça dela; infelizmente me identifico muito com essa.
    happy ending: muitos consideram a melhor música do álbum, fala sobre o ex-manager, a overdose e vícios, seu noivado com aquele idiota, e se pergunta se ela vai morrer sem encontrar o seu 'happy ending'.
    heaven: pelo título ninguém imagina o que veio depois, usando um pedaço da bíblia (+/- assim: "se a sua mão te faz pecar, corte-a para que ela vá para o inferno e você suba para o céu") como referência ela canta se prazer é errado então pode marcá-la como pecadora e com seus dois dedos ela se sente no paraíso portanto ela vai pro inferno.
    city of angels: mais conhecida como los angeles, ela cita que a cidade é não tem mais diversão e citando pontos da cidade (como beverly hills, rodeo drive e disneyland) ela faz metáforas sexuais.
    bones: sobre o seu atual namorado Jutes, ela diz que já o quis assim que eles se conheceram, que não conseguia se segurar direito perto dele, e que queria pular nos 'bone(r)s' dele.
    wasted: outra vez as pessoas achando que se trata da OD, ela não sabe se vai conseguir sobreviver sem isso, porque está bêbada de amor, um olhar basta, e nem a droga mais pesada chega aos pés disso; eu sinceramente temo muito por isso porque a demi sem perceber usa as pessoas como muleta para estar sóbria, veremos.
    come together: pra mim a música mais problemática do álbum apenas por 'i knew the minute i met you that i had to have you or id die', pra quem já teve dependência emocional a música bate muito forte, e o resto da música na minha opinião é muito simples, fala sobre sexo e sobre essa conexão na hora do sexo.
    dead friends: demi já perdeu tantos amigos nessa vida, e ela fez essa canção pra eles, ela tem survivor's guilt por ter sobrevivido a overdose, comenta sobre a saudade que tem de estar com eles e todas as coisas que faziam juntos, e a parte que mais dói é a que ela deseja que pudesse morrer e voltar só pra ter um momento com eles.
    help me: um grito a quem diz que quer ajudar e fala "é só parar com o vício", demi diz que isso é inútil, que ninguém está ouvindo ela, e que é melhor mostrar o maior dedo e questiona 'ME ajudar?? você quer ME ajudar?'.
    feed: baseada num conto que existe sobre cada pessoa ter dois lobos dentro de si, e que os dias tem altos e baixos mas que ela tem que segurar firme e escolher alimentar todo dia o "lobo" que a leva para o melhor caminho.
    4 ever 4 me: fala sobre se apaixonar de novo depois de vários relacionamentos ruins, sobre se curar destas bagagens, que nunca teve tanta certeza e que acha que isso é pra sempre pra ela.    … Expand

    If label had done a good promotion of the song it would have top the charts! And gave Demi her first number one

    On first listen, my favorites, are “Happy Ending” & “Feed” are tied for first place (both songs, for me, hit how music feels like it’s supposed to), “Holy Fvck” after (that song has such a groove & I love how the last chorus is sung!), & then round out with “29,” “Dead Friends,” & “Substance”.. I love the subject matter of those.
    Honest, the whole album is good to throw on & just listen, front-to-back, no real skips. Just push play & go on a 48-minute journey; it’s super fun.

    Um álbum muito consistente que lembrou da Demi la de antes, mas muito mais madura e falando de temas bem polêmicos mas que fizeram parte da vida dela nesses últimos anos. As primeiras músicas são perfeitas, e é definitivamente um álbum que da pra escutar do começo ao fim.

Zane Lowe really spilled the tea in their latest podcast together which really distinguished what it meant to be a celebrity/public figure and a singer. Truth is, a powerful singer is going to need powerful lyrics and HOLY FVCK really delivered on that aspect. Ending with 4 EVER 4 ME meant a lot to me; for it isDemi returns to their musical roots - a stronger, fiercer warrior than before. Zane Lowe really spilled the tea in their latest podcast together which really distinguished what it meant to be a celebrity/public figure and a singer. Truth is, a powerful singer is going to need powerful lyrics and HOLY FVCK really delivered on that aspect. Ending with 4 EVER 4 ME meant a lot to me; for it is my own song for escapism, reminding me of the innocence of childhood and the hope I had as a young kid, and the healing I needed to go through to be the person I am today. I continue to find myself resonating with Demi’s work, despite the shift in genre, and ultimately, there is nothing more uplifting than to hear the voice of an artist who is free, happy, and comfortable in being able to produce music that is true to who they are. Demi doesn’t need trophies to show how big of a rockstar and talented versatile musician they are.. after all everyone has an opinion and mine is that HOLY FVCK is an impressive body of work that makes me feel seen, and that scars can ultimately heal.… Expand

    There were a few moments when he didn't really understand what he was singing, it was a bit difficult with the sound mix. On the other hand I loved the depth of the lyrics and rhythm. Without a doubt, this is a good album.

There are several great elements in HOLY FVCK; its musical texture is excellent because it goes to different rhythms, harmonization can be studied or just the melody, etc. I'm sure many will believe that all the songs are the same, but that's not the case: "4    **** **** DEMI, I LOVE YOU!

    As a Lovatic, I would write a lot of good things. Now, as a Music student... I would do the same! There are several great elements in HOLY FVCK; its musical texture is excellent because it goes to different rhythms, harmonization can be studied or just the melody, etc. I'm sure many will believe that all the songs are the same, but that's not the case: "4 EVER 4 ME" is a ballad, while "HOLY FVCK" is a sexual anthem; "SUBSTANCE" can go on my playlist for exercise, which wouldn't work well with "BONES" since it's disco-punk. And since it's an album that leads down several paths, but to the same destination, that is,Demi's honesty (a different honesty than DWTDTAOSO), it's difficult to choose my favorite songs, so I will only put the ones that make me dance . By the way, I already want to feel all the songs breaking my eardrums when I see them at Rock in Rio this year.

    A great rock album be Demi, with a lot of honesty and rawness about some very hard topics that are existing in our society.
    Superb vocals (didn't expect anything else from Demi).
    Great songwriting overall.     Same content lyrically, but a few really amazing tracks on this album for once, such as Wasted, Happy Ending, 29, and Feed. I think the rock sound fits her very well.

    Demi's new album it's an important turning point in her career. It's obviously the end of a pop era, the artist is changing showing her vulnerabilities and that she's getting back to her primordity roots, revealing maturement and advance from the beginning til now. It's something that puts you backwards in 00s years of pop/rock era. At the same time, it doesn't sound retardant. It'sDemi's new album it's an important turning point in her career. It's obviously the end of a pop era, the artist is changing showing her vulnerabilities and that she's getting back to her primordity roots, revealing maturement and advance from the beginning til now. It's something that puts you backwards in 00s years of pop/rock era. At the same time, it doesn't sound retardant. It's brilliant and wild. I classified this album as a transition's work, as Joanne it was for Gaga (but, it's obvious that I know the difference between this artists, it's just a comparation by their moments of management's crises in their careers). Demi get back to her past serving what's she's comfortable to do and gives us hope about her new steps in music industry. It worths to appreciate it.… Expand

    This album is really good but feels stretched out once you get further into it, a few tracks could have been dropped but overall a great album.

Por mais que o álbum seja um recomeço para a artista, percebe-se que em algumas músicas, ela se perde, com alto nível de edição no tom da voz, e outros detalhes. Porém, quando se vê que as musicas realmente foram feitas para esse projeto. se tem dimensão do que realmente se tem intenção de mostrar (Como a Rihanna em Higher). Se esperava mais quando a artista divulgou metade do álbum online, porem não foi tudo isso. os feats são gastos, e não se tem casamento na voz em algumas músicas. o album começa numa festa, e termina. esperava-se uma despedida animada. NAO DIGO QUE 4 EVER4ME SEJA RUIM. mas que um UP no final do album, me daria desejo se ouvilo de novo, e de novo todos os dias. Como o Renaissance… Expand

Demi overcomes and reflects their life bringing back their pop-rock roots w very old school effects I think Holy f*ck is a more mature view of themselve as a famous person that was constantly facing comparison, judgment and pressure from the media. This album shows that Demi is now more aware of themself and it’s own opinions about all topics of life such as gender, body, life/death relation and fame…

    Is really a shame that this project didn't receive more commercial success because it looks like, for real, Lovato's most personal project to date, as in lyrics as in sonority since she returns to her pop-rock roots.

    I had really low expectations for this album, but the energy that was poured into it is amazing. I admire Demi's bravery on the lyrics. Even if I am not that much into rock music, these songs flow and connect very good keeping your attention on.

    This is her most ambitious project so far, and the genre fits her very well. It would have been more of a standout album if a few tracks were cut from the album.

    Holy Fvck has its flaws – Lovato’s powerful voice is unnecessarily finessed and Auto-Tuned, and 16 tracks is too long. But its gutsy ambition is a thing of substance in and of itself.
