Perfect sci-fi action and hidden gem. Original premise, awesome choreography and fights, great acting and some amazing twists. What more could you ask for?

The action sequences are electric; they’re grimy, choppy, and strange. But when the characters talk, the film stretches and slows to a banal cautionary tale, almost as if Whannell was making the movie as a homework assignment, having a ton of fun with the aesthetics and the fight scenes, then suddenly remembering he was supposed to incorporate some “themes.”

As a movie, it’s the cinematic equivalent of paint-by-numbers: competent, attractive even, but take a single step closer and the lines peek through. There’s no need to pay money to go see Upgrade: If you select it on a plane and sleep through 60% of it, you’ve seen it in its entirety.

I loved the plot twist. I got emotional at the end. They are bold to make those scenes, what most people are afraid off.

This film has some good visual effects/CGI and I suppose it did remind me a bit of Blade Runner, in that its a sci-fi thriller film but its certainly not as original or memorable. Thematically speaking. it's about digitisation and manipulation. It is somewhat engrossing and an entertaining watch but it's not what I'd consider a particularly good film. It's ok...good enough as a film but not especially good. I wouldn't go out of your way to see this film as such, no, so I wouldn't recommend it, no.

Entretenida y con conceptos interesantes. Sin embargo, poco innovadora, una actuación poco destacable y una historia predecible. Está bien para pasar el rato, no la volvería a ver.

It's like Venom, but upgraded. This is Leigh Whannell second movie he directed and it's pretty solid. Cheesy and poorly written, but enjoyable with some cool practical deaths. Logan Marshall-Green, in-spite of his uncanny replica to Tom Hardy, was pretty good, especially with his reaction to tense situations made it even more entertaining.
