Jun 9, 2018Very underrated album from the musical genius himself Kanye West. Like 808 this will go down as one of the best music ever released from Kanye.
-
Jun 1, 2018Absolutely amazing! One of the best ever from Kanye! People need to hear it!
-
Jun 7, 2018
-
Jun 8, 2018The shortness of the project helps Kanye to differentiate each single song. They vary in sonic identity and content, but not in originality. On the lyrical side, this is his best work since MBDTF.

-
Jun 1, 2018a classical masterpiece that needs multiple listens to fully grasp the piece of artwork this 7-sound metamorphosing vivacity truly is
-
Jun 1, 2018Straight fire. Definitely a very personal and special album. Ye is the greatest artist of our generation, don't @ me.

Jun 1, 2018this is just a fantastic and unique album from kanye's crazy ass mind every song has a feel to it and the production in each song is amazing

-
Jun 20, 2018amazing emotional personal album. Kanye is the most important artist of this generation. beautiful sonically and lyrically.
-
Jun 3, 2018passando para deixar meu 10 ao icone. 7 faixas que pisam no the life of pablo com 20
-
Jun 4, 2018Perfectly titled album!! It's every aspect of Ye ... The album is beautiful, vulnerable, ignorant, love, family, lost, mental illness ... everything you can ask for easily top 3 of his catalog .. Time will tell it's place in discography for me

-
Jun 5, 2018Surprisingly honest and beautiful album. Short, sweet and light. Unexpected delivery by Kanye West touching on themes and points that are unconventional in the genre. This and Daytona prove he has more things to say with his producing. Looking forward to what's to come.
-
Jun 2, 2018All I can say is how genius this man is. Every album he's pushed the envelope more than any artist of his generation, regardless of the controversy. This album is a huge win, and I can't wait to spam it for years to come
-
Jun 1, 2018great album, focused, short but amazing, I'm in love, it's on repeat since it dropped.
-
Jun 1, 2018''ye'' welcomes the listener in Kanye's head. He explains what he experienced in the last couple of years and compiled those feelings he had in a 7-track-long album. The first track sets the mood of the album and introduces the listener to his bipolar ''disorder'' which he finds a superpower.
-
Jun 2, 2018It's fantastic, expected a good album, but got an amazing one, after first listen i didnt really like it, but after listening to it 15 times i loved this album, definitely better than TLOP.

-
Jun 1, 2018Almost perfect album. The tracks are to the point and he addresses and says everything that he needs to say.
-
Jun 1, 2018The 2nd of Kanye's 4 albums this Summer, which feels more EP than LP, grows on you with each listen. His ambitious sampling and more introspective lyrics suggests there are "No More Parties in L.A." Songs "Ghost Town" and "Violent Crimes" most reflect the new stage in West's life. Something makes me think next week's collaboration with Kid Cudi will be more celebratory.
-
Jun 2, 2018Kanye West never dissapoints.
Brilliant production.
jonhperry
he made her famous -
Jun 5, 2018Very good music. Ye is growing up a bit. Calls it like he sees it. Very catchy.
-
Jun 1, 2018Much more focused than TLOP and the production is some of Kanye's very best work. From the haunting opening track to the masterfully constructed Ghost Town, this is far and away the best album of the year thus far. He is able to say everything he needs to in the 7 tracks and is perhaps the most intimate, vulnerable Ye we have ever seen. Even more so than 808s and it works brilliantly in this case.
-
Jun 1, 2018This new concept of relatively small album is great, because it seems that the songs are interconnected to one. A great album that is easily to be treasured.
-
Jun 1, 2018Best Kanye's Album! The instruments are incredible. Kanye is a genius, and all geniuses are uncorrected. The appendix of the album is the track Ghost Town, the woman's voice is amazing!
-
Jun 1, 2018An absolutely beautiful album. Kanye's best since My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.
-
Jun 1, 2018The album is flawless he proved to me again that he still has it .Eminem issapointed Kanye delivered
-

-
Jun 1, 2018This album is beautiful. Its different from the previous albums that Kanye has made. Hopefully his next will be longer.
-
Jun 1, 2018Best Kanye album in a while. Fantastic production and writing. Looking forward to the project with Cudi
-
Jun 1, 2018The production is abstract and intoxicating, sounding like a malicious version of 808's. A deeper trip into Kanye's psyche than anything we have heard thus far into his career.
-
Jun 1, 2018although a very short album this manages to tick all the boxes i look for in a Kanye album. love that he embraces his bipolar. 10/10
-
Jun 3, 2018Understanding that an album with such depth and content would need good replay value, Kanye strips the tracklist down to a bite-sized portion of genius.

Jun 3, 2018Focused. Finished. Fantastic. Address his life, his family, his love for his daughters. Beautiful, original, a true masterpiece.

-
Jun 4, 2018Amazing album done in a unexpected way by Kanye. More personal than ever, talking about his life, family, and problems. Great production, Sampling and the choice of collaborators is amazing. Possibly my favourite Kanye yet. No big promotion, etc. Seven tracks does it for me. Nothing to add.
-
Jun 8, 2018This album is an absolute masterpiece, anyone who is giving negative reviews to this is upset with Kanye for his political views and other recent actions, and should loose all credibility in regards to music.
-
Jun 5, 2018definitely worth a listen. Kanye continues his tradition of breaking down his prior works, reassembling them into something new.
-
Jun 7, 2018its uniquely kanye, something new and fresh. yet, so personal and intimate at the same time. we see a side of kanye rarely spoken about...
-
Jun 8, 2018
-
Jun 9, 2018Production was outstanding and it was the most personal and real he has been on an album in a long time.
-
Jul 12, 2018I can not stop listening to "ye' on replay. I love this album. It sucks his personal life was a distraction from this masterpiece. I hope people were able to separate the 2 and give it a chance.
-
Sep 2, 2018It sounds so raw at moments which give you chills making it so worth a listen.
-
May 6, 2019Incredible album. I don't know why, but it just works. Ghost Town is a top 5 Kanye song of all time.
-
Apr 25, 2019This is an amazing album. Production amazing. Lyrics not kanye's best work but still pretty good.
-
Mar 30, 2021Overhated for no reason... Kanye chose quality over quantity, also I loved this album and I think it's one of the best Kanye project, because it talks about how hard it is to live with the bipolar disorder. Over-hated for no reason.
Also there are no skips! -
May 13, 2020Every song is strong and very direct. Album goes into Kanye’s mental health at the time and makes this Kanye’s most personal record. Beautiful.

-
May 22, 2023A short but crazy good album, the vibe is point on, and every song is a hit. Favorite song: Ghost Town

Mar 24, 2022My favorite album of all time best songs from kanye ever literally a masterpiece he made his best work here
-
Jun 5, 2018"I hate being bi-polar it awesome." Just like this sentence, from start to finish Ye is a complicated messy ode to being complicated and messy. And after all, that's what life is about even when you aren't clinically diagnosed. I'm not a Kanye fan but I found this self-exploration haunting and masterful.

Jun 7, 2018Great personal album that has everythin from great edgy production to personal lyrics
-
Jun 2, 2018It's a beautiful work, especially the last few tracks. A little self-indulgent, but hasn't that always been like him?

-
Jun 1, 2018Right now, easily top 5 of Kanyes Discography. It doesn't overstay it's welcome and 7 songs is the perfect length for this album. This is my favourite Kanye produced beats I've heard so far. College Dropout fans will adore this.
-
Aug 16, 2018An amazing album, packed so much quality in 23 minutes. I listen to it every day
-
Jun 2, 2018Kanye never disappoints. This isn't his greatest work of art and it isn't path-breaking either. But is still a very good album - the production is awesome, the integration of other artists fits perfectly, and he has some stuff to say. You never really know with Ye but it seems to me that he really is working some stuff out. This album is similar to 808s in this regard. It feels very personal
-
Jun 1, 2018Kanye did not disappoint on his new "Ye" album. The lyrics are substancial, touching on his bipolar disorder, drug addiction, and controversial remarks. On the other hand, the production seems catchy and very unique. The song "Ghost Town" looks like the only weak part of the project.
-
Jun 1, 2018Not Kanye best work but a great body of work, violent crimes the best song in the project.

-
Jun 1, 2018Very well produced, very memorable, and good samples, too short, we want more YE!!!
-
Aug 12, 2018Very melodic album which shows Kanye in a new light. He seems more vulnerable but at the same time stronger than only one year ago. Thus 'YE' is a return to a more careful sound that is not afraid to tell you how life can go both up and down all in the matter of a minute. Brilliant construction and definately an underated classic.
-
Jun 3, 2018Seems like a trip inside Kanye's brain. Feels like he have used all he has learn in his career.

-
Jun 8, 2018Minimal, personal and one of Kanyes most vulnerable works to date. Production is clean and varied and compliments kanye and the guest features on the record.

-
Jun 21, 2018
-
Jul 11, 2018This is objectively Kanye's best album. Anyone who says otherwise is too caught up in his political rants to look at this album for what it is, a modern hip-hop masterpiece.
-
Jul 13, 2018My only real gripe with this album is that it was to short. The production on this album is clean plus Kanye's personal yet simple lyrics make this album a treat.
-
Jul 21, 2018Kanye brings us the good old vibes of MBDTF on an incredible and very well produced album where we get to understand his current state of mind.
-
Aug 6, 2018
-
Aug 7, 2018an album that went under a lot of peoples radar. Don't let the short track list and length fool you, this is a full album. This is kanye at his most honest, unguarded and self conscious. If you like using kanye as a puppet then you can stay away from this but if you want to hear kanye as a person expressing his love for his family and concern for his mental health then you are at the right place.

Dec 10, 2018All killer, no filler on 'ye', with some great production and funny one-liners.

Jul 26, 2021Ye is a very short but beautiful piece of work. Each track has its own brilliant qualities and the project as whole is unbelievably entertaining thematically, the only track I have a problem with is parts on No Mistakes which seems to be the most out of place which is what most people seek to be its biggest flaw. However, I just can't seem to understand how people can't enjoy this project.
-
Sep 3, 2021The intro track is genius, some very strong tracks in this short list, but overall an enjoyable listen and feels a more matured version of Kanye.
-
Jun 1, 2022Kanye’s most underrated album, there are absolutely no skips. Album gets better with time, Ghost Town and Violent Crimes are both top 10 Kanye tracks
-
Jun 27, 2023despite being 7 songs long this is still a great album, violent crimes and ghost town some of the most beautiful songs i have ever listened to
-
Jun 6, 2018Fantastic front to back. Raw, open, honest, and soulful as hell. Ye delivers. Favorites: Wouldn't Leave, No Mistakes, Ghost Town.
-
Aug 9, 2018A journey inside the body of Kanye's mind, we see a wholesome, frightened individual who, like us, is riddled with problems. Layered by beautiful production pieces, especially from the likes of the track Ghost Town, this is simply another wonderful addition to Kanye's discography.
-
Oct 30, 2019Great album, its tracks connect with you emotionally, and can successfully change your feelings positively. Furthermore, Kanye shows his audience that you can make magic with only 7 tracks.
Awards & Rankings
-
Oct 8, 2018ye is an average album with some good songs, some bad songs, and some songs that will clearly be spun millions of times. The problem is that "average" has never been good enough for Kanye West nor should it be.
-
The WireJul 26, 2018For all his power as a motivating force it’s perhaps inevitable that Ye proves weakest of the first four. Left to his own devices West sounds bewildered, somewhere between awe and exhaustion. [Aug 2018, p.63]
-
Jun 15, 2018Ye can feel uneven, sometimes boring, and more indulgent than usual, but it's a fascinating peek into West's psyche.
