After the sixth song the album is lost, unfortunately this is what happens when you create a lot of expectation in an album, treat it as something sacred but nothing special. But tracks 1,2,3,4 and 6 saved the album

This album has catchy songs...but it doesn't feel like a Taylor album anymore. It sounds like any popstar could've came out with this. I still think RED was her best and most personable album.

Each song has a distinct sound that differentiates it from the other 14 tracks, yet all 15 work together seamlessly and create a singular story with heavy impact: melodically, lyrically, and thematically. Arguably the best pop album of 2017.

Reputation is definitely one of the best albums of 2017. Taylor Swift once again showed how talented she is by making an album completely different from what she had already done before and the final result was great.

An introspective record from Taylor that not only comments on the current states of both her love life and her reputation/career, but reconciles the two topics beautifully. The first half of the album may have all the bangers but the second half will destroy you emotionally. The old Taylor may be dead, but her passion, effort, and otherworldly songwriting are alive and well. Enjoy.

For me this is one of the best Taylor's albums because she reflects all the things she feel at the moment when the rumors and the lies came to light and her friends disappear and just the trusted friends stayed with her. She use the songs to represent the problems in her perspective and how the things where wrong making her look like the bad one in the story. And she repeat that she still believing that everyone it's good with each other and that it's not the reality. Expand

What is the point of having music critics if me as a new Taylor listener totally unbiased see this is Taylor’s lowest rated album but I loved every song and consider this my favorite album of 2017? And in only three days it has become the best selling album of 2017 to say the least I’m disappointed in meta critic for misleading users to believe that this is Taylor’s worst album when in reality IT IS her best. This is easliy Swift’s best album to date. It’s very coherent. There is not a single bad song on it. I thought the song with the features on it was going to ruin it, but it fit really well. This collective is musically and narratively unforgiving from an artist bias. Swift is respectfully credited writer and producer on this album, but to no degree of a focussed outcome. Songs lack appeal and the polish that is perceived seem very blindly committed. No advancements in sonics and boring aesthetic, very inspired by the target focus of the lead single. A very weird and bad album.

More than about feuds or gossip, reputation was about an artist finding their confidence and happiness in the midst of great isolation. With this record Swift allowed us to see her most vulnerable side under the heaviest of media scrutiny. In years to come, this will be considered a landmark pop album.

While 1989 was a delicious piece of 80s-inspired pop, on Reputation, we have our first full taste of a rap-feature courtesy of Future on End Game (not a bad song and it works better than the special remix of Bad Blood which featured a forced collab with Kendrick Lamar and sounded like an afterthought) and more electro-pop. Nothing here goes terribly wrong but quickly gets stale by the third or fourth listen.

But this is what will score her the stupendous sales and isn't it what's it all about for TS and gang now?

Como destaques eu citaria "Don't Blame Me", "Delicate", "Call It What You Want", "This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things", e "Getaway Car", cujo final é de deixar de queixo caído pelo jeito que Taylor faz sentir tudo que está acontecendo ali.

"This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things" cumpriria esse papel por ser bem shady e bem catchy, mas com um nome menor (como somente "This Is Why").

her best album. she's a very talented song writer and her songs are extremely catchy. been listening to i did something bad and ready for it at least a couple of times a week for 2 years and i'm still not bored of them.

This album is just a "pure pop magic", she defines herself as a superstar with this album, she's having fun. The production is great, the melodies are awesome and sticks in your head. The only problem is the concept, I think it's a little bit too much, she should focus a little bit more. Also, lyrics could be better, after all it's a Taylor Swift album.

Yeah, I must say that this album is very good. It has a goodhomogenic sound and it shows that Taylor has maturated as an artists expecially with the sound. All the tracks are very good, except for just 2 or 3 filler tracks. This is better than 1989 and Red in my opinion. End Game is absolutely the best track and deserves to be the 3rd single.

Na minha opinião, as melhores são Delicate, Getaway Car, ...Ready for It? (pelo refrão) e Dancing With our Hands Tied.

Melhor música disparada é Call It What You Want (e uma das melhores da carreira dela).

The suis generis' identifiable musical arrangement is already unmistakable with the first track - and one of the album's many singles - “ … Ready For It?” Once again, the singer returns as one of the top songwriters and seems to lose her hand once and for all (purposely?) forgetting even the most basic lessons, including musical fluidity. The strong chords created from the mix between dubstep and trap music apparently work with the raw, compulsory linearity, but they get lost with a bizarre and fabulous entry that precedes the purely instrumental chorus - something that should never be repeated but seems to find fertile ground to rise."

I was really excited for this album when she released the first 2 singles. I was hoping for an electronic inspired album, but we got this instead. Although, it gets better the more you listen to it. For example, 'End Game', 'Delicate', 'So It Goes...' and 'King Of My Heart' are fantastic! It's a bit dodgy in a few areas but generally not bad at all.

A well crafted and masterfully written sharp and dark album that takes the listener to the rollercoaster of falling in love while having a bad reputation, something you are able to relate to even if you're probably not one of the biggest pop stars in the planet. Taylor takes her Swfitsonian game to another level, giving up on some of her best assets (like her previous Begin Again, Wildest Dreams, Dear John, Mine) in favor of some raunchy and powerful yet intimate performances (like Bad Blood and I Knew You Were Trouble). The stand-out tracks in this album are I Did Something Bad, Don't Blame Me, Gorgeous, Call It What You Want and Dress. The only -minor- disappointment is End Game, the track with Ed Sheeran and Future, which is premised with enormously high expectation that crumbles down under the pressure of having a Everything Has Changed 2.0 in the Reputation chords. Anyways, the album still shines through and places itself among the top 3 of her best albums. Expand

In this record Taylor sounds like she's in a teenage crisis, even tho her intention was to look more mature. But even tho she's lost, and her concept came out sparse, there is a critic, that could have been made in a bolder way. Between her "look what you made me do"'s and "you're gorgeous"'s, she lets her songs fade into each other, and not even the production couldn't distract from it, like Katy Perry's Witness. But there's a thin difference: Katy's record was quite more intense while the polished production of Reputation couldn't hide her poor vocal performance, and sounds dated and forgettable right after the first listening.
Okay, Taylor, you're a bold girl. But your work is not one, by far.

It's bad, but it's not bad if you listen more than once. In her discography, "Reputation" is the best in terms of musical maturity, everything she talks about boys, relationship, got boring, always the same. I think "Reputation" is good just because it's different, because if Taylor left that shade on shade aside the album could be great.

Reputation is really a change in Taylor's music style. While she does leave the "bubblegum" pop field, she tries to expand her sound in more urban, RnB and Trap sounds. The thing is that half the album feels dull. Even though there are some great moments (call them "I Did Something Bad" and "...Ready For It"), a great number of the rest tracks falls flat. The collaboration with Ed and Future is unnecessary. The comeback single "Look What You Made Me Do" is just bad and the Europeen second single "Gorgeous" is clumsy as hell. If someone else released this album, it would have been good. But in Taylor's standards, it's just mediocre.

"reputation" is a totally different album than Swift has brought us before. The production is simply excellent, and, although the use of some instruments is repeated, they merge perfectly with each song. The lyrics are surprising and intelligent.
The darkness of the album comes to catch who listens to the world of Swift. An excellent album.

Great album. Just like 1989, the worst songs on the album are the singles/promo singles (Shake It Off, Ready for It, Bad Blood, Gorgeous are abominations), but the rest of the material is pretty solid. Loud and obnoxious just like her, but amazing at the same time.

Reputation is, by far, the best pop album of 2017. Ms. Swift shows that now she's a grown woman and came to stay. She was here for the last 10 years, but reputation is the crucial proof that she's the biggest artist of the decade.

Part rumination on engaging with the pop icon and part deep end even after eating the meal, Reputation keeps the ball in the air, argues for moving forward, even if it’s herky jerky.

Swift’s unencumbered analysis of the tectonic shifts within her personal and public life are equal parts razor sharp and self-indulgent. But as a pop album, Reputation is never revolutionary, the adrenalin rush heady but ultimately short-lived.
