    She’s done it again. She made an album that manages to capture the essence of the first record, and yet, give it a few changes well-trained fans can spot and appreciate. The vault songs are great, and the 10 minute version of All Too Well is everything we were expecting it to be, and then some.

    This new version of Red (Taylor's Version) is a true definition of art in music. The lyrics are a masterpiece of a writer's mind. What I love about this is how the songs make us feel that we are on that situations. I can relate to it and I can feel the meaning that it wants to emphasize. Congrats Taylor Swift ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Keep on writing and making amazing songs for all of us.

    It's just like what Taylor said herself. This album is messy, beautiful, and glorious. It has everything for new and old fans, but it's a lot better than the Red of 9 years ago because of time. I once associated the album with the bright lipstick on the old cover and warm, melancholic, summer parties. Now, I can only ever associate it with some expensive ~red~ wine.

The vault tracks are absolute hidden gems that we luckily get to experience with the re-recording. I believe this album to be her best written cause of how well she explain difficult emotions,A must listen album!!     Initially, I didn't like the OG version of Red since it felt less cohesive than her previous body of works and lyrically leaned more towards the experiences of heartbreak (which I personally haven't experienced)--plus, I hated the color. But after hearing her updated sounds of the OG tracks, the full vault tracks, and with the inclusion of Ronan, this version made me realize it was on parInitially, I didn't like the OG version of Red since it felt less cohesive than her previous body of works and lyrically leaned more towards the experiences of heartbreak (which I personally haven't experienced)--plus, I hated the color. But after hearing her updated sounds of the OG tracks, the full vault tracks, and with the inclusion of Ronan, this version made me realize it was on par with her current magnum opuses, folklore and evermore as it really punches you to the core.… Expand

And all is embellished by her UNMATCHED songwriting ability that peaks in songs like “begin again”, “state of grace”, “better man”, “nothing new” (I would have loved it on evermore too) and,Top 3 heartbreak album of all time for me.     this album is amazing and it's incredibly sad how some people dont get why taylor re-recorded it. it wasnt because she wanted to "milk" her fans, or because she cant get over her ex boyfriends. she is taking back what's rightfully hers, and it really seems that people are just trying to find an excuse to hate on her. overall, it's an amazing album, even better than the original

    Red (Taylor's Version) has good and bad days. While over the past decade Swift has undeniably strengthened her vocals, producing a more level and mature sound, the emotion and vulnerability has gotten lost in translation. Prior to Swift's 2020 releases, Red had been one of my favorite albums for a long time. Songs like Sad Beautiful Tragic and State of Grace had lyrics that expressed newRed (Taylor's Version) has good and bad days. While over the past decade Swift has undeniably strengthened her vocals, producing a more level and mature sound, the emotion and vulnerability has gotten lost in translation. Prior to Swift's 2020 releases, Red had been one of my favorite albums for a long time. Songs like Sad Beautiful Tragic and State of Grace had lyrics that expressed new and heartbreaking love affairs in the best way, but it was really Swift's young voice that sold it all. Don't get me wrong, Red (Taylor's Version) makes improvements in different ways, but it's the delivery that makes it not as convincing. It's as if she was singing a song that's not hers, which is ironic. As well, some of the production falls flat. For example, Holy Ground's new production takes off the edge to the song, and it loses the feeling that makes you want to get messy and dance. Swift also made a few subtle note changes, which I thoroughly enjoyed, but the least subtle and most obnoxious one is that in the chorus of "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," where she elongates the "Wee!"'s and brings them up a note at the end... bad choice.

    The vault songs are really what did it for me. Songs like "Message In A Bottle," and "The Very First Night," made me remember how genius Taylor Swift is in the pop category, and are so catchy that they literally have me jumping out of my seat and skipping down the street (this is not a joke.) But masked behind the poppy instrumentals, these songs have some of the most heartbreaking lyrics, as they fully capture the feeling of hopelessness and longing, but making a wish anyways because you're just so in love. I can't tell if I should be dancing or crying, so I do a little bit of both. The vault song that I was most looking forward to was "Nothing New," and she certainly did not disappoint. Like many other Taylor Swift fans, I was worried she would follow the trend of her female collaborators being solely for the purpose of background vocals. When I heard Phoebe sing her first line, my mouth fell open. There is no one more perfect who could fit this song, and as Swift and Bridgers sounds work together, it creates the most honest and real song that I have ever heard. I was glad that Swift decided to add her versions of "Babe" and "Better Man," because it's surreal to hear songs that I know by heart now being sung by a different voice. I also think the improved backing to Babe ("What about your promises, promises?), really elevates the whole song. "Forever Winter" is another great addition to this album, but the star of the show really is "All Too Well (10 Minute Version)". Again, I had some worry for this song, as I've never actually listened to a 10 minute song that was actually good and kept me captivated. But, there's a first for everything. Swift made the right calls for which verses to cut, but it's appalling how she's had some of the lyrics hidden away for over a decade. "You kept me like a secret but I kept you like an oath," is some of the most mind-blowing stuff I've heard. My favorite addition to the song is definitely the outro, which is a haunting and soothing chant of Swift reminding herself that it was real, everything was so real.

    Despite some of the re-recorded songs not being able to top the original ones, the 2021 Red album as a whole undoubtedly beats out the 2012 one.    … Expand

    red + more songs, i found that the more successful songs off the original were a bit lacking on the vocal part, like we are never ever getting back together, and 22. But songs like all too well and i almost do are massively improved on this album. Vault songs are okay, I liked the pheobe bridgers one but that ed sheeran one was not good. Overall, its a great album.

    ALL TOO WELL 10 MINUTE VERSION IS A MASTERPEICE. Red (TV) is incredibly well made re-recording of Red (Original). The songs sound so much more alive, and the vault tracks are great. But the highlight is All Too Well (10 Mins) (TV), which is simply put, the best written song ever. The buildup, narrative and emotions conveyed in this song are iconic and perfect. Honestly, it's a masterpiece.

    I love how she's just putting a big L in scooter's face. Absolute queen for taking whats rightfully hers. This album has possibly the best lyrics of Taylor Swift albums. This is a classic album that WILL go down in history. It's rare you find an album that doesn't get boring and replayed in the middle or at the end.

This album has possibly the best lyrics of Taylor Swift albums. This is a classic album that WILL go down in history. It's rare you find an album that doesn't get boring and replayed in the middle or at the end.

    The newer version of Red shows the more mature version of the whole album. The additional tracks add more spice, diversifies the genre of the record, and deepens the concept of the album. People growing up listening to both versions can definitely learn how time changes everything and realize everything that they did.

    The impact of this album have been immaculate, though it's not cohesive as tracks includes significantly different genres compiled into one album, it displayed versatility as an artist. As it is a re-recorded album, it was already heard by people, however, the addition of new vault tracks plus the maturity of her voice makes this album worth the listen.

    There's no question that Taylor's remastered album was successful and well-crafted. Especially ATW's ten minutes version, which portrays her and Jake Gyllenhaal's pain so well, everything is all too well.Some people in the comments say that Taylor always talks about her ex, I don't know how to scold you. Did you know that Taylor hasn't had talk about ex since her sixth album?

    The highlight of these is a ten-minute version of "All Too Well," a bitter ballad that was already one of the peaks of Red and is now turned into an epic kiss-off. This, along with excavated songs, are reason enough for Swift to revisit Red and they, not the re-recordings, are the reason to return to Red [Taylor's Version].
