Desde Vulnerable, que es de lejos una de las mejores del álbum, de Selena, del pop, de lo que va del año y de los últimos tiempos, con un sonido un poco alegre pero con una letra que nos deja pensando en cómo se siente Selena y nos identifica, canciones como Let Me Get Me o Dance Again que nos hacen bailar con sonidos impresionantes o Cut You Off, Rare o Fun que por medio de sonidos y palabras susurradas nos dan una nueva forma de escuchar música y entretenerse.     This truly was worth the 4 year wait. Selena came back stronger than ever with a self-empowerment album with well written lyrics and production at it's best. She's proof that we can overcome everything when we surround ourselves with the best people for our mental-health and let go the toxic ones.

    If on Revival Selena tried different directions with her music, on rare she chose one and went for it. It’s honest and explicitly vulnerable, something that seemed to scare Selena on her past works, now she recognizes it as her biggest strength. Great album.

    Beyond worth the wait. Selena Gomez always pushes pop into new and exciting places and Rare is weird, confident and beautiful. Every song is expertly crafted and the whole album flows beautifully. Early faves include 'Rare', 'Vulnerable', 'Let Me Get Me', 'Cut You Off' and 'A Sweeter Place' but there isn't a weak moment. We have no choice but to stan.

    Um dos melhores álbuns já feitos pela própria cantora. Trouxe não só uma energia boa e tranquila, como também poderosa e sem crueldade. A cantora mostra um lado de como não ser ruim e de como os problemas podem se tornar tão pequenos quando mudamos a maneira de pensar e olhar. Um álbum que muitos se identificam com e cheio de melodias pop-vibrant.

The whole album sounds like something that’s never been here before; Selena doesn’t follow trends, she makes them, and by doing so she creates nothing but pure pop excellence. From the production to the songwriting, vocals and well-picked features; everything harmonizes perfectly. Its not easy stripping down emotionally and opening up about the thingsRare is such a unique piece of art. The whole album sounds like something that’s never been here before; Selena doesn’t follow trends, she makes them, and by doing so she creates nothing but pure pop excellence. From the production to the songwriting, vocals and well-picked features; everything harmonizes perfectly. Its not easy stripping down emotionally and opening up about the things breaking us down, but Selena does it so gracefully - lyrics like “holding hands with the darkness and knowing my heart is allowed” are the proof for that. With “Rare”, Selena creates a lyrically, sonically and vocally master piece that’s refreshing and different - she shows once again she’s not afraid of taking risks.     Throughout the vaporous, even bubbly songs that 'Rare' contains, Selena tells everything about maybe her most difficult ilfe period. She finally has found melodies that fit perfectly with her whispering, delicate voice, and this is as remarkable as her decision of open her heart in such an excellent album.

    Selena shared with us the most particular part of her. The songs is about everything she has pass in this 4 years that se was out of media. And the result? it can’t be better! The Lyrics is the most positive point about rare, but the instrumentals and her voice(better than never) its soo good as well. Rare is a Selena’s evolution, that make everyone that follow her career trough the years.

    While none of these 13 songs attempt the subtle weirdness of “Bad Liar” and the emotional thesis—self-love!—can be a bit one-note, Rare is the 27-year-old’s most cohesive record to date. ... But it’s difficult to come away from Rare with any real perspective on who Gomez is other than that she doesn’t want to be the person she was, whoever that similarly mysterious shadow was.
