    By far the most cohesive, sonically progressive album from Selena Gomez. I love the lyrical content and how amazing the minimalist production that it has! I can see Grammy nominate her in a few categories. I daresay it is Pop masterpiece.

    I was very hyped about Selena's new music and I was ready to stream it for maybe a couple of hours when it dropped, especially the songs that I really liked, but what I didn't expect was to be hit with bop after bop in the album.
    I loved the album because it is fun and sweet, all the songs speak in some way about self-love and growth, yet it's so danceable and beautiful

    Selena Gomez really took her time with her music and now you know why. There are so many different songs and they have all hidden meanings. The melodies are so good and versatile and then the lyrics hit you. You need to listen a few times to get it and every time you play you can feel what she has felt.     all I can say that this is her best album. the album really gets better every time you listen to it! the lyrics are so beautiful! every track is better then the other one.

    While none of these 13 songs attempt the subtle weirdness of “Bad Liar” and the emotional thesis—self-love!—can be a bit one-note, Rare is the 27-year-old’s most cohesive record to date. ... But it’s difficult to come away from Rare with any real perspective on who Gomez is other than that she doesn’t want to be the person she was, whoever that similarly mysterious shadow was.
