Jack Tatum's latest work proves it all. Wild Nothing at it's best. A true improvement from Gemini. With their Shoegazing and Dream Pop sounds, it's colorful, sweet, blissful and fun. Get it now!

Wild Nothing build on the sound of their excellent debut "gemini" by bringing more depth and life to their sound with a more considered production approach. The melodies are again here in abundance and the songs on "Nocturne" cement Jack Tatum's place as the early 2010's master of dream pop. He's made 2 of the best albums of that time. Like the debut, I'm reminded alot of the 80's (a blend of Smiths and Cure characteristics but fundamentally it all comes down to a shared ability to write incredible indie pop songs). It's packed with great songs so rather than pick out highlights just sit down with it for 3/4 of an hour and savour it. Expand

''Nocturne'' is a triumph! ''Paradise'' is a shining light centerpiece, highlight of an album and so is ''This Chain Won't Break''.

Tatum adds to the mix tropical pop textures, shimmery synth-pop gloss and twangy guitar solos that could melt hearts. [Oct 2012, p.88]

Nocturne hasn't shaken its overriding influences but Tatum gently pushes these songs beyond elegant pastiche. [Oct 2012, p.114]

Even if Nocturne isn't going to shove Wild Nothing to the front of any groundbreaking movement, it's still a really good record, made by a guy who likes really good records and who seems really happy to share the refinement of his craft with us.
