    Melodrama is such a fresh and delightful experience... Lorde gave us something new and exciting in a moment when mainstream music seem to be letting most people down. I personally loved how she played with her voice on tracks like "Writer in the Dark". It's amazing how she showed us her voice in different ways and to see how she grew as an artist and songwriter.

    Eu espero q as crianças parem de ficar trocando critica negativa e fazerem essa birra de Lorde x Lana,da pra ouvir a musica da duas em paz eu amo o Lust for Life tanto quanto o Melodrama e estou dando nota alta para os dois.São duas cantoras maravilhosas que não merece esses fãs nojentos! Vamos só aproveitar essas músicas gente!

    Es difícil adaptarse al nuevo estilo, pero una vez que lo entendés y asimilás resulta ser un álbum coherente y minuciosamente construido, con intertextualidad en todas sus canciones y un sentimiento homogéneo, que a la vez es muy variado. Muchas canciones me resultaron insulsas y muy pretenciosas, parecidas a lo que me podría encontrar en un 1989 de Taylor Swift (Como Supercut, repetitivaEs difícil adaptarse al nuevo estilo, pero una vez que lo entendés y asimilás resulta ser un álbum coherente y minuciosamente construido, con intertextualidad en todas sus canciones y un sentimiento homogéneo, que a la vez es muy variado. Lorde siendo una cantautora tan joven nos transmite una madurez sentimental impresionante, me siento identificado con la letra de las canciones con cada una porque todos hemos pasado por este tipo de sentimientos en algún momento de rompimiento. La producción está llena de sonidos nuevos que envuelven en propósito sentimental de cada canción. Lorde nos presenta a una persona nueva comparada con su álbum debut pero sin olvidar la seriedad en la letra acompañada de sonidos enternecedores y rítmicos, le doy un 10 cerrado por cada canción desde Green light hasta perfect places cada uno de los temas es de una calidad sin precedentes. É uma história sobre uma festa, sobre conhecer alguém, perder o rumo, descobrir-se, decepcionar-se, ser feliz e triste, ficar sozinho, ficar rodeado de gente. São 11 faixas tãoEsse álbum é simples, cheio de lirismo e coeso. É incrivel como a Lorde conseguiu trazer algo de qualidade mesmo com temas clichês que é o “fim de relacionamento”, mas engana-se quem acha que é apenas isso. É uma história sobre uma festa, sobre conhecer alguém, perder o rumo, descobrir-se, decepcionar-se, ser feliz e triste, ficar sozinho, ficar rodeado de gente. São 11 faixas tão importantes para o conceito que até mesmo a curta e simples “Liability (Reprise)” faria falta para o álbum. Há canções simples e orgânicas como “Writer In The Dark” até as mega-produções “Sober”, “Green Light” e “Perfect Places”. É interessante ver um minimalismo diferente do que a Lorde está habituada em “The Louvre”, com acordes de violão e guitarra, antes não explorados pela cantora, espaços vazios, sons de batida de coração, suspiros...     it's been two years since the release of this masterpiece and every words and melody transcends through my heart. Melodrama captured the fear, the agony, melancholy and happiness of human relationships. I could read this like a poem and enjoy it, yet the unique production on tracks like HF/L and HD leave a strong impression that these tracks wouldn’t be the same without. Lorde isn’t the perfect vocalist, but makes up for it with raw emotion in her voice especially on WITD. This hasI feel very strongly about each track.     Lorde, Lorde, Lorde. What a beautiful masterpiece you have produced. Melodrama is pop perfection, and one of the best albums released so far this year. Green Light, Sober, Liability and Perfect Places were great tasters of what the album was to offer and we are not disappointed. Lorde has matured as an artist and this is an extreme step up from 2013 debut 'Pure Heroine'.

Long gone is Pure Heroine's alternative teenage-angst sound, only to be replaced with even weirder and wilder sounds. O'Connor's songwriting gets even better, though you thought it couldn't get maturer, right? Lorde explores questions left since PH: the "it's a new art form showing people how little we care" in 'Tennis Court' becomes "we pretend that we just don't care, but we care" in 'Sober', which for me showcases how mature and grown she's come to be.
    The best part about the record is that it is undeniably relatable, for any person who is in their early-20s and just got their hearts broken, and all they want is to party it off. One of the highlights of the record, although it's very hard to choose, is 'Supercut', that sees Lorde exploring a full-on synth-pop she's never done before.
    Whether she's partying on the weekend ('Sober'), remembering an ex-lover ('Writer in the Dark'), or just contemplating the imperfections of existing ('Perfect Places'), "Melodrama" works in every way and every aspect, and I expect a lot of Grammys to pour on it. Solid 10!    … Expand

    At first i thought that Pure Heroine, was way better because for me it was more relatable, but the construction of Melodrama it's just flawless. Supercut speaks for my mind, that song makes me feel full of something beautifully abstract.

    As was mention, was attracts the most in Melodrama is its coherence. You don't listen just to some radio hits with bright titles and sweets melody, You listen to a story of a person who made mistakes, who gave up and stood up again, who lived during those 3 years we haven't heard from her.
    I admire how open and sincere she is in her lyrics and this what makes this album a good album. Being honest.

    A journey. A life-changing experience. A concept album full of emotions coming from the genius mind of a 20 year old girl. A relationship of 3 years sung as a one-night house party. The forward thinking production and lyrics will give you that rare "I've never heard anything like this before" feeling, Truly magical and hopefully a mark not only on Ella's career but on the music scene.

    In this new album proved that with few doses of melancholy and some mix of dance pop with piano and voice you can make a great album. The new songs bring a girl more honest and vulnerable than the hard girl from pure heroine.

    Honestly an amazing album, the lyrics and production flows joy into my veins and lifts me up with it's beautiful melodies. The louvre is a masterpiece, Writer in The Dark, Supercut are all beautiful and songs like Homemade Dynamite and Green Light are sure to be hits. Best album in years!

    Lorde has been one of my absolute favorites since Pure Heroine came out and I thought that it was the one of the smartest and best pop albums in years. Melodrama is all Pure Heroine was and so much better. An amazing interpretation of the first few years of adulthood. A smart, metaphoric album that takes form as both a break-up and a party album.     The sound on each track is memorable and big. Her vocals never come across as some random coffee shop artist. They are something truly magical. There is no filler because Lorde is smart enough to know a 40 minute album means there is no room for failure. I never found myself looking at my phone to see when the album is over or because I forgot what the song title is called. She has created an absolute masterpiece. It's a shame that it won't get noticed a lot like Witness did. The album is begging to be a hit machine. Not only is it a fantastic pop album, an overall fantastic album in general. Nothing will top this album this year. The album is a work of genius.

    Green Light: An absolute party heavy blast from start to finish. The perfect way to build up to a big sound. The production doesn't carry this song to make it a dance heavy song. It's Lorde's vocals and her lyrics. 10/10

    Sober: One of the most original songs of the year. Totally original lyrics with her weird vocal changes make this another blast. 10/10

    Homemade Dynamite: Production isn't as heavy as I thought it would be but that's not a bad thing and doesn't mean that it's bad. Lyrics aren't as good as the other songs but her vocals and the catchiness of the song distract from that. 9/10

    The Louvre: Organic sound that has a really unique vibe. Once again fantastic lyrics backed up her raw vocals. This one kind of got to me because I am still getting over a heartbreak from over a year ago :-( 10/10

    Liability: I didn't think I would like this before I heard it. A lot of indie type pop girls fail at ballads. The sound is really minimal on this but somehow she makes it seem huge. The lyrics are heartbreaking and stray far from the stupid cringey ballad lyrics we usually hear from Katy. A total emotional and heartbreaking song. 10/10

    Hard Feelings/Loveless: A lot of the time when a song is split up in two titles, it's kind of stupid. The production slowly moves from something kind of familiar to something really groovy. Lyrics are memorable from beginning to end. I was kind of worried when I saw the time length. How did these two songs go by so fast without dragging? 10/10

    Sober II (Melodrama) Fantastic production and lyrics as well as her raw emotional vocals. Just one complaint, I wish it were longer. This is like a short sample you get an ice cream shop. 9/10

    Writer In The Dark: Once again Lorde has another emotional filled song without getting cheesy. 10/10

    Supercut: I feel like this is a sequel to Green Light. It baffles me how she can turn a dance ready song into something really emotional and meaningful. 10/10

    Liability (Repise): Great way to end the album. Just wish it were LONGER!

    Perfect Places: Extremely catchy and fun. It doesn't depend on it's catchiness though. Her lyrics and vocals carry the song the most. This needs to be a single on the radio. It has so much potential to be a huge hit. 10/10

    Nobody has made dance music and blended it with such great emotions since TFM. This might be her at her talent peak. The album took 18 months to make and it shows off the hard work. I don't care how much tickets are, I have to see this talented performer.    … Expand

    Beautiful record, with the highs and lows of an emotional night. Bowie vibes shine through with songs like Writer in the dark, and a hint of Robin laced lavishly around many trakcs, such as Green Light and Supercut.

    Beautiful, cohesive album from start to finish with ghosts of her "old style" still coming through here. No filler. Lorde is a legend in the making. Daughter of a poet, truly. It's what she deserves.

    I love this album an amazing sophomore effort from Lorde. You can appreciate the way she's matured, the album sounds very cohesive and there's no track that could be left off. The Louvre and Writer In The Dark are both highlights and probably the best songs of her career besides Ribs

After releasing an album with no romantic lyrics and only adventures of ordinary teenagers, Lord returns to being common with a message beginning and ending a post-relationship, experienced by the composer herself a few years ago. Beginning with Green Light, her first single and also considered one of the best songs of the year, Ella reveals her weaknesses as a human being and opens the door to her best compositions through love, pain, loss and fear. The Homemade Dynamite range reaches one of the high points in a warm and cozy way.     This is, probably, perfect. One of the best albums of the years makes us see the colors that Lorde see while listen to the songs. I think there's no bad music in the whole album. She's ready to make (more) history than ever.

    Well constructed and with an incredible concept, Lorde really stepped up from her previous releases. The way some tracks blend with the other and some Greenlight notes you can hear on Supercut make the album something to listen from start to end, never skipping a track. Her best work so far, and one of the best albums this year. Shortly saying: David Bowie was right.

    I have to be honest, I really thought Lorde wouldn't come with something as good as Pure Heroine, but it turned out I was wrong. The album is incredible, the songs connect to each other perfectly. You can see clearly what she means with it. Without a doubt one of the best albums of the decade.

    Melodrama manages to maintain Lorde's uniquely introspective songwriting even though its subject matter at times feels completely different. This is being lauded as the best pop record of 2017 and it's very easy to see why. It doesn't do what producers and record labels think a breakup or party album should do, rather it comes from the mind of a clever 20 year old.

    I don't like every song on this album, but still I can't rate this album less than 10 , because the songs I like here are so... fantastic that they just slay me. For me, this is the best album I've listened to in 2017 yet and it's much better than Pure Heroine.

Lorde has matured and it's shown in her lyrics. Also Melodrama is a big step ahead from Pure Heroine.     Anjing woy bagus banget dah nih album. The songs are very rich melodically and the instrumentals are breath-taking. Definitely what we were all waiting for in Pop Music. I love Lorde. But I consider Louvre hideous, that's why I gave a 10. But all the others are heavenly, Sober II, Sober, Homemade Dynamite, Writer in The Dark. Love them all!

    This is a flawless album, honestly. It's consistent, interesting and it has so much personality. I'm super impressed. I'd say it's just as good as pure heroine, which I found rare with an artist's follow up album. **** great job Lorde!

    There are no gimmicks. There’s nothing screaming for acceptance. Melodrama is a raw, real album under its sparkly clean production. One written for the masses but able to resonate with each individual listener.
