    Even the bright spots in the album’s composition—the off-beat piano cascades in “Death By A Thousand Cuts” and the pulsating synth of “Cruel Summer” hat Taylor seems like she’s never been better. She’s unburdened by love, and that explosive happiness makes itself present across this record.

    well, i was expecting só much more of this album, all songs look alike and, despite taylor being a master at writing, the sound of the tracks didn't convince me at all

Forgot you existed? Carly Rae Jepsen copycat track. Cruel summer basically snapped a whole track from a KPOP song. Lover? Garage band production and Pinterest lyrics. The Archer? Cornelia Street?— don’t even know where to begin. Death by a thousand cuts- yes death to your career. London boy: maybe if your father didn’t buy out all your debut albums you would’ve actually gone to school and learned basic geography of where things are. Soon you’ll get better actually is a beautiful song with a beautiful meaning but it could’ve had more. False god I listened to three times and I honestly couldn’t tell you what it sounds like. You need to Calm down is the definition of queer baiting especially dyeing your hair the bisexual flag when you aren’t bisexual. That’s inappropriate. Afterglow is a wannabe deep track that gets it lyrics from a tumblr post by a woman named Sharon who runs a soccer moms club.And I’m really sorry ME! didn’t make the cut for the trolls movie :( It’s nice to have a friend has a literal children’s choir which is probably why it’s the best on the album. They did what you tired to do. Final track, daylight. Maybe one day when you don’t rip off smaller artists you’ll get why this is so bad. Overall a genre less album and not in the good way. A skip.     The sound is way too generic, there is nothing innovative about this album, it will probably be forgotten in about 3 months. She lost her own identity and sold herself to the mainstream media and made her career based on cheap celeb drama. Too bad! This album lacks of good tracks. I give her a 0.

    This is simply the album of the year, the productions are exceptional. Swift is an amazing songwriter, the lyrics are so good. Great work!

    A few good tracks but mostly just another bland pop record. The song Lover is pretty good but there really isn’t much growth since Taylor’s previous albums. Country Taylor will always be superior.

    I’m sorry but SNOOZE! It’s so boring it’s the same old sugary pop songs she used to make at 16...now she’s almost 30 and still the same...there’s zero progress! She tries to deliver deep and meaningful thoughts but she doesn’t explore them in depth enough to make any impact but I guess her writing is challenged when she attempts to write on. deep and thought provoking topics as previouslyI’m sorry but SNOOZE! It was going strong with me and you need to calm down and then the archer came and I was like oh I do not like this at all and then lover came and I loved it then the album dropped.     Lover is a fabulous record, full of super-fun standout pop hits that make your heart burst. It oozes with Swift’s much more palatable upbeat sass. She’s in love and also thinking about different kinds of love.
