    My least favorite Taylor Swift album, but I still can't give a low point since this album takes me back to 2019 and reminds me of how incredible my life was back then. This album is confused. It has too many tracks and I do believe that she should have scrapped at least 4 of them. Everything about this album is weird, the artwork, the sound, the single choices, the lyrics. There are stillMy least favorite Taylor Swift album, but I still can't give a low point since this album takes me back to 2019 and reminds me of how incredible my life was back then. This album is confused. It has too many tracks and I do believe that she should have scrapped at least 4 of them. Everything about this album is weird, the artwork, the sound, the single choices, the lyrics. There are still some highlights though. Cornelia Street, Cruel Summer, DBATC, Lover and Miss Americana are great. Although this was a step back for her, she came back real strong with Folklore. That's why I am not complaining.     'Lover' and 'reputation' are like heaven and earth. Both albums are better, but the first one has definitely more songs that I like.

    As always, «Lover» is an album Swift made for her fans. But it also feels like a record she made for herself, unburdened by external expectations and her own past. She’s unburdened by love, and that explosive happiness makes itself present across this record. Though uneven, «Lover» is a bright, fun album with great emotional honesty. When it hits the right notes, it demonstrates just whyAs always, «Lover» is an album Swift made for her fans. But it also feels like a record she made for herself, unburdened by external expectations and her own past. She’s unburdened by love, and that explosive happiness makes itself present across this record. Though uneven, «Lover» is a bright, fun album with great emotional honesty. When it hits the right notes, it demonstrates just why Taylor Swift is one of the biggest pop stars in the world. Nevertheless, It’s probably five bad songs away from being better than «1989». «ME!» still sounds like a musical number taken out of context, just unearned celebratory fanfare without plot or character development, so dead-eyed it’s spooky. But she’s better when she gives herself real space to think, as on «Cornelia Street», a lovely, understated tribute to memory and nostalgia with the power to make one rarefied block of Manhattan feel universal.… Expand

    The "Lover" by Taylor Swift is a lovable album. Some lyrics are attractive and catchy. Some songs are best, and I will listen to the songs I like so many times, but some are not that best. Like "ME!" or "You Need To Calm Down." I value what she says of the song, but I don't think it does not fit in the album. But the album is still flawless and lovely.

    It's amazing how she is able to capture a loving atmospheric feeling in all the songs. Some are fast and very pop. There are so many amazing songs on this album. While it is not perfect (quite a tonal shift from Reputation to Lover), it's still amazing. ME! is not my favourite song, but every other song is just so good. The era itself was quite quick, but amazing!

    Lover is so great and I love the essence of Red in it. Also easily one of my favorite albums from Taylor. But, girl, what was the thought about getting Brendon Urie on ME! hopefully it was because you hate him so much

    From this album, Taylor stopped talking about her ex. She delicately depicts her and Joe's sweet love. What's wrong with love? Love is the most powerful force in the world. It is because of love that Taylor can no longer be dark.

    Probably the best Taylor Swift album out there! I love the songs “ME!” and “You Need to Calm Down”, I listen to those songs regularly. The bass and popiness is just beautiful!

    It has some amazing bubblegum pop songs, but the fillers make it kinda repetitive and boring. But still, everything is bright on this album and I recommend it

    Her first fully owned album, with full of bops and timeless classic.
    This album slapped every person who thinks Taylor write only about her heartbreaks.
    Daylight was the original title of it, so I guess the new upcoming album Midnights was the dark version of Lover

    "Lover" is definitely a generation of love songs, slightly retro style and rhythmic bother sounds give people a comfortable feel. The song "The Archer" is like a tone from heaven. Although some songs are made very "ironing line", their "good melody" is unquestionable.

    Ngl i kinda confused on why people think this is her worst album? I think this is one of her best albums. All the songs just had their own meaning. I love Daylight and The Man so much

    Death by a thousand cuts is one of her best songs, and this album deserves so much better, but it still has me, yntcd, iftye, and inthaf so that’s why it gets and eight

    Lover has so many great songs on it, but as a whole, it’s one of my least favorite pop albums by Taylor Swift. I don’t think ME! or YNTCD are representative of her lyrical talent & err on the side of cookie cutter pop.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. A great pop album, but sadly, there are way too many fillers on this album. Songs like 'It's Nice To Have A Friend', 'ME!' and 'You Need To Calm Down' could've been left out as they are boring and annoying and only bring the album down. I understand that 'I Forgot That You Existed' acts as a bridge from her previous album 'reputation' to Lover, but honestly, who cares? When I started listening to that song, I thought to myself, "Is this album just gonna be filled with such boring songs?", she should've just put 'Cruel Summer' as the album opener as well as the lead single as that song would definitely get both of those jobs done perfectly. Again, not a bad album, just a lot of useless songs that bring down the album an devalue the good ones. Though, I must say songs like the title track, 'Death By A Thousand Cuts' or 'Cornelia Street' definitely make this album worthy of a listen.… Expand

    It's so good but it's not cohesive enough and this albums has some of her worst songs (I Forgot That You Existed, You Need To Calm Down and ME!) this album is like a 7.6 for me, songs like Lover, Cornelia Street and Daylight remind you of what a great songwriter she is.

    This album is what I consider to peak pop music. This album has changed pop forever. It’s the reason she still has it charting on the billboard 200 to this day.

    Lover is a fabulous record, full of super-fun standout pop hits that make your heart burst. It oozes with Swift’s much more palatable upbeat sass. She’s in love and also thinking about different kinds of love.
